yo, so i feel like i'm a little late but...a "business class" train ride is probably the dopest way to travel EVER.

next time my parents don't let me play my video games, i know EXACTLY how i'm running away from home. i'm off to norfolk to see my ol' lady, maybe i'll run into the munster!

yeah trains are way doper than planes if you can look past the travel time. both are better than greyhound which is a fucking nightmare if you're traveling a far distance.

used to take the Metra south shore line from chicago to hammond indiana when i was a kid. hammond was a garbage dump of a city but the trips there and back were awesome.

It's a really shitty connection, but it's better than nothing. What bugs me is the cost. A Chinatown bus from Washington to New York costs $20 round trip. An AmTrak ticket costs $150, and you only shave about 30 minutes off the trip. I only use it for work.

That $1 is still up for the taking.

It's all about drive and determination, Diode.

I guess you're right, though the bus would only take six hours in the worst traffic. Still, on my personal dime, I'm not paying for AmTrak, even though it is more comfortable and a little faster.

I take it every day to work, but my normal hours are about noon to 10 p.m. It's only particularly awful from about 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Luckily, I avoid it in those hours almost always.
