"The Parrot"

The cage sang tropically under the white sheet draping the mystery:
It sang festively, it's voice rang through the Mexican drug Lord estate like a symphony.
Some coke on the table was being weighed digitally. Pure, face Christmassy- sit, scrape, sniff with me
He say's in a high pitched, gimmicky"I'm rich!" villainy fly riff of soliloquy
'Is this guy trying to mimic me?'
"Diablo! Why the humility?!" The Feds rush inside the vicinity.

The Parakeet hides in the sheet.

"Buy-the-ki" "Buy-the-ki" "Mi-ami" "Mi-ami" the parrot went on a tangent:
The interrogator offered it a cigarette - kindly accepting, pecking the ashes
"More Grams than Sand" said the broadcaster outside the Mexican mansion.
"Captured trying to flee the scene out this window-Arrested in this nest-netted and bagged with..."

Budgerigar begins singing under the spotlight in elegant fashion, mesmerizing detectives with badges.
They can't question him, not until he's done signing - belting his ballet
"Ay take a look at this song bird, he's a regular, Jackson" Says the captain - impressed with his dancing.
The parrot is recapping everything he's ever heard or saw with perplexing enactment.
..
The DEA ask the talking parrot- "how's he know as much as he does?"
"He knows all the cousins of the thugs the mothers and brothers of the sons"
"The hub where they tug to customs the drugs- the connects name- ?" The bird flustering; "FLUFF"
"Who's fluff?" the Parrot shrugs his feathers colorfully bunched

Something is up in another room, the hustla is giving different answers,
He claims the bird keeps him in a cage and sings him to sleep in his carriage.
According to his story, the parrot is the one who gives the answers -
AND THE TALKING PARROT SAYS HE MIMICS THE HANDLER
-
Eventually the Parrot confessed everything:
Parakee was successful because he controlled the ring from the feathered wing.
"The Real Macaw" He said to me;

All these verses remind me of winter batting practice back in middle school and early high school, before baseball got too serious. You've got the natural athleticism and hand-eye coordination, so you'll be fine when the real season starts. But now you're messing with all sorts of swings and hitches and seeing what you can do. This was a funny little story that didn't feel complete but did manage to tackle a unique approach to an excellent topic. It wouldn't have won a battle against an elite opponent, but that's fine here. I liked that you combined your normal swagger and storytelling approach with this goofy story. You kept things a bit more simplistic here, rhyme-wise, and it worked.
