With precision and skill, the deliberate drill riddles the bone
Spiraling slow, in the middle until, the parietal lobe
Is exposed , and the fissure to fill, shimmers and glows-
Not a little would spill…. as the enhanced bot’s hands,
Twiddle the swill that grasps his last glimmer of hope…

In the darkness, lit, with bits of his artifice, He found it hard to sit
Exhibiting the start of his harsh visits with Parkinson’s
Alarmed, his twitch an effective marker of seconds,
Four point five every time since the remarkable session
When he lost track of the bone flap and his jerked wrist
Hurt six nerves in his last patient – flatline – no rhyme or purpose
The shakes resurfaced, and the weighty duress of his curse sent
Him searching for a cure to inure him for sure -100 percent
His plan was perfect – First, have the chip inserted
And by ionic convergence through the work of the bionic surgeon
The silicon merges in with dendritic particulates
Weaving an intricate web amidst cells with no stimulants
He called it “The Brilliance Chip”,… and he would be the first to test it
He’d either die under the lights or live to give his best gift…

..and with the three-pin Mayfield clamp, the bot belabored
The hair patch, intact, once botched with shots of lasers,
Now stood, our good doc, head sandwiched in bandages
Took good stock of his bot’s “mess”, scanning for damages
His laughter swelled, 4 and a half seconds after held
No twitch! He felt as if he had come back from hell!!…

As the smell of the pancakes basked late in his nostrils
He imagined the flapjack’s taste in his tonsils
And found his mind whirring at amazing speed..
Every tiny color and shade? He was taking heed
Blinked *click* like a shutter, he could save it, frame it
Went to test his IQ, in untamed amazement,
Took it twice, hard to buy what the score was claiming
…three-fourty-five?? Floored! There was more remaining..
He could read heavy tomes of the hardest science
Then begin heady poems on his thoughts’ appliance
Great unsolved problems? He planned decoding
From carving fullerenes to protein refolding
The keys to dark matter and the spark of free will
He’d start in his field, ask his heart to be still!
For he, the past shade of a once-great neurologist,
Would finally take his place in the halls of thought and consciousness…

..Now that his Parkinson’s was nixed, he wouldn’t stop at this..
He scribbled thoughts that mixed with problems solved in chops and bits
Because, just think of all the cash and photo ops that pop up quick..!
To catch the genius doc who teaches all, whose flaws do not exist!
And as he ran, he scanned the gist of his accomplishments
Uploaded it and sent the JPEG to accomplices..
And here, I read the screed of which I only post a shard..
Because to see the rest left me bereft with broken heart –

“Dear Esteemed Colleagues-
I have solved many of science’s most unsolved problems. In the 300 page tract to follow, you will find *most* of my equations, theories, and provable solutions. The keys I keep to myself to avoid unscrupulous eyes.
