Welcome! Sorry for the long wait on this, been busy with family and school ish. So last week we finally got a Champion, our fearless leader Sn00p. To earn this prestigious title he defeated the living legend, me. So, the ball is rolling and we will hopefully see some really dope matches to decides you keeps control of the ranks. Without further delay...

Championship Match: Knucklehead vs. Sn00p {Sn00p wins}
Looking back, this battle was better than I remember. Kind of surprised that the champ match was just 10 lines. Probably could’ve been a lot better if they had gone more, and it probably would’ve made for a more defined winner. It was a closer matchup than votes show - both were consistent and had their share of quotable lines but all voters agreed that Sn00p’s hit harder, either for better concepts or execution. Sn00p wins 6-0 and is the AOBL champ.

Dominate vs. Sharp Nine {Dominate wins}
Really dope battle here as I expected. This was the contenders match so a lot was on the line. I saw Sharps verse beforehand and thought he was gonna put up a good fight, and Sn00p and I both voted for him with a close edge. But in the end the more experienced Dominate took this, and now advances to face Sn00p for the AOBL Championship.

Rayge vs. Pimp Daddy Payne {Rayge wins}
Solid battle, nothing big but both guys came decently. Rayge had a good verse in general, no real misses with some clever lines. bleak kind of surprised me, his bars were worded well but some of his concepts were pretty lacking. His semi line was slick and if he had kept it up this could’ve been close but as stands, Rayge had the better showing and voters agreed, giving it to him 9-0

Ox vs. Cashius {Cashius wins}
This one went about how it was expected to. Ox is showing improvement every week, but it wasn’t enough to compete with Cash. Conceptually Ox did alright, but voters agreed that wording was what took away from his verse more than anything else. Cashius came with much cleaner wording and some clever concepts, he got it 8-0.

-_- vs. Def_fuckin_5 {-_- wins}
Tbh I thought this battle read like it was a good battle from a few years ago. Both guys came pretty well, but -_- was pretty decisively more consistent. Def still has some rust evident, with a few concepts being pretty played and a generally simple verse. -_- was overall pretty clever, almost all of his lines being decent if not quotable. Voters seemed to agree, giving it to Robert 9-0

Twenty One vs. namix {namix wins}
I’m fairly certain this is the first time namix has battled in a good while, but it didn’t seem to have any effect at all, coming with a pretty hard-hitting verse full of some clever wordplay. Twenty One didn’t do badly, but most felt her strongest attempts were stretched at best. Keep at it though, there’s plenty of room to grow.

Mac vs. Lotto Smirk vs. Jimbo {Lotto Smirk wins}
Mac NS’d, making this Lotto v Jimbo. Both are fairly new and it showed, both guys having their share of awkward deliveries and concepts that were just plain misses. Lotto showed he has a slight edge on Jimbo, some attempts showed he’s headed in the right direction while Jimbo showed promise, but was lacking all around. Having said that, his drop this week already shows improvement so keep at it guys. LS got it 7-0.

Power Ranks

5. Cashius - Heard he was dope, and was quite impressed with his verse last week. If he goes his hardest he will most likely champ the league for at least a week or two.

4. Strikta - He's been getting no showed, but Strik is a problem for anyone. If he finally gets a good match where his opponents show he will rise in the top 3. Look out for him to be in a champ match soon.

3. Knucklehead - Only loss is to Sn00p in the Championship. If I keep things going smoothly I should end up back there eventually.

2. Sn00p - Wasn't really in the league until he got to the champ match through Back2Basics, but champing that and the Line4Line cypher is an impressive feat and he deserves the title. I can't put him #1 being 1-0 in the league though.

1. Dominate - The best active txt head here tbh. And he isn't rusty at all. Undefeated in the league, & I see him being the Champ for awhile if Sn00p doesn't throw his all into their battle.


Honorable mentions: Sharp Nine, non azn Bob and God of War. Allen Knight if he shows and stays in. If he does he'll be in the top 5 most likely.

Good to hear. So we are right in the middle of the season and now have our first Champ, Sn00p. How do you think things are progressing, and how do you see the season ending in terms of activity and quality?
The beginning of this league was kinda slow, no dope heads for real. But progressively, more heads are signing in and more feet are signing out. The comp is getn tough. I don't feel like it will stop, more and more NCGs will realize where we are and come check it out.

I heard that. So for about a week or two your name was Pimp Daddy Payne. Why?
Major Payne is one of the funniest older movies I watched recently. In one scene, he tells the kids that are in his ROTC that he should change his name to Pimp Daddy Payne cause he's workin wit a bunch of bitches. and... I'm workin wit a bunch of bitches, so it made sense

Semi-interesting.. So who do you think is the nicest competition in the league right now, and who is gonna be holding the title in a week or so.
I think Bob is a name to look for, he had a nice drop last week. You gotta mention the usuals, the Hollys, Snoops, Doms. Ya know. I think Sharp Nine is a name you should watch out for. In a week or so? Well, I'ma win my battle this week, and then beat the contender. And then Snoop's like, barely even a roadblock. Naw but for real, unless the German slacks, he should be up there for at least a couple more weeks. Never know tho, Dom's streaking

Who would you like to see join the league that has been lurking around but not participating in much?
FUCKING CRONUS. He's been dodging the league, prolly waiting on another big name or two. Also, Neigh needs to make an appearance.

I notice you had a childish back and forth with Strikta in your Pic Tourney battle where you didn't show, and that you have been showing some anger towards the txt community. What brought this on?

This is going to be a good battle, unless these fellas disappoint. Dom seems confident, he even picked himself in his prediction. Sn00p has been looking pretty solid the past couple of battles, although his opponents haven't dropped to their potential. Should be a good one

Strikta vs. non azn Bob
This will be a nice one. Strikta is a veteran with skills. Bob is either new, an alias, or from PR. I think he's from PR. Either way, he is dropping pretty well. It's tought 'cus I like what I've seen from Bob, and I haven't seen much lately from Strikta. But no one says he's rusty so I'll go off of his old shit and say..

Strikta: 60/40

Cashius vs. RPK
Cash is still the same Cash we saw on NCs, dropping very consistently and grabbing wins up in his first 2 appearances. RPK has a good foundation, I think he just needs a lil something extra to make him that much better. I got Cash tho

Idk who's voting on this, considering that they're going 539294 lines. I'll just quote a couple from the beginning and give it to whoever. Srsly tho, BOTW potential. If they both show, and come correct, this battle will be a good read. I got Allen, he's battled more here recently than GoW

Knucklehead v Bleak

This should be a solid battle, Knucklehead's been putting out some sick verses since joining the site while Bleak is an up and coming head with a pretty good handle on wording. At the same time, he's had a few issues with forming and expanding on the concepts themselves. All in all, I see Knuck taking this by a decent margin, tho I won't rule out the possibility of an upset.

Defiant vs. namix
If Def shows, this could be a good one. nam just has more exp, and it's like he just spits his bars up with no effort. Def can win if he puts a lil effort in, but I got nam easily in this one.

Lotto Smirk vs. Wicked
Lotto is getting better as time progresses. I've only read one Wicked verse, and it was aiight I guess. Wick looks like he wants to battle tho, so Lotto can't take this one lightly. I'ma go with LS, cause I know his verses a lil better.

Ox vs. Twenty One
Ox has been on and off. Some of his punches I really like, but the misses are bad. I've seen some of 21's drops on RIA, I think I missed her verse on here, but she looked like she had some skills. That's not saying that 21 doesn't have her work cut out for her, Ox has the capacity for good drops. Meh, I'll take 21 barely

Twenty One 21-20

Jimbo vs. megatron
Haven't scoped Jimbo's verse vs. Orc yet, so idk what to expect. Hasn't tron no showed or been no showed like 3 weeks straight? I liked what I saw from him when he actually had a battle. Either way, split decision.
