I liked it. It played off of the campyness and cheesy original in parts. Not scary at all but extremely gory so I thought it was worth it for that as far as horror movies go. Make sure to stay past the ending credits.

Horror movies don't even have to be scary anymore, just hype it up enough and it will make money.
What better hype than to remake a 'classic' that people only really remember when you're remaking it?
