The content was engaging and I followed through it without any road blocks, which is rare for me when I read your pieces because there's a sense of accomplishment when I can plough through chunky sentiments to reach a collective conclusion. I didn't struggle with that here. Nice piece.

Red Glare - I'd say you killed it with the rhyme scheme. It was all done well with some hiccups you maybe could've accounted for, but the length of the scheme was ambitious enough and I'm surprised you maintained relevance. What may have happened for me is the anticipation of your insistently consistent rhyme scheme causing me as the reader to get distracted by the story and focus more on the sounds and syllabic flows you produced. I don't know if the story was all that great. The rhythmic presentation was of high quality and execution, but did I walk away feeling enriched, or given any thoughts to chew on and expand upon in my own mind? I feel like this failed at that, while Pent's succeeded.

My vote goes to pohfig this week for a verse that pleased my brain sensors as well as my senses. Red Glare's was juicy but lacked any nutritional value imho.

Your topic is basically this. Whatever side you were given, write about it.. and convey why it's better than the other side. This can be done by directly addressing it, touching upon it via story, or however you choose. There are ways to pull this off without your verse just being an argument. Your verse does not, and should not, be a response to the verse your opponent writes..

I know it's more restrictive than other topics we've had, but I think restrictive topics really push you to dig deeper and get creative.

He does, he knows a bunch of artists, I've met a few. Kankick, OhNo and Madlib are all from our neck of the woods, so is Intuition Producer "EQ" who's my favorite out right now.

But he's good friends with intuition, and basically any relitively known underground artist from LA area. He just did a collaboration album with some dude from Frisco I think, named Chuwee. Dude is actually really good.

But yeah he gets around. Dope having a brother who's a legit producer. Love going to his house cuz he has massive amount of equipment and I just sit there and make beats and shit. But he's dope, been doing it for years and years.

Basically one person from each division makes playoffs and you're supposed to go against each person in your conference for it to matter, not sure if that's been happening or not.

But yeah, then top 8 other writers make it outside of brackets, 4 from each conference.

fenix osiris the division system works just as any in sports, particularly like the NBA/NFL. The winners of each division will automatically earn the top 4 spots in their respective conference playoff seeding. The other remaining spots go to the next 4 best records. It's a 16 man playoff (8 from each division). You will see a lot of divisional match ups in these last couple weeks.

You guys closed down me vs Que at the deadline despite my agreeing to let it be open until he could get a verse in due to the circumstances making it hard for him to have time to write.

If I am denied that, despite reasonable circumstance, why are others granted the same thing we had asked for. Without the same reasoning?

I'm not super bothered by it, but it is a question of necessity imo, to make sure that it isn't being run with bias.
