I dig it. There were some instances that brought great imagery. The opening line is a perfect example of that. At times there were perfect usage of words and in others there wasn't. The "lead guy" rhyme seemed lazy to me and threw off the mood you had created in the opening. Besides that the flow was on point for the most part and this was pretty good writing you showcased here. Nice.

Just read it and 'lead guy' does indeed stick out as bad wording. Throughout the piece you used elegant and regal language so to say lead guy is a bit too slangy. It goes against the tone you set and is only there to rhyme. You should have reworded either lead guy or the rhyme to accommodate a smoother and more consistent read.

It was a solid piece but being rustled over an honest and fair criticism of just one phrase paints you as someone who thinks their shit doesn't stink. Its no way to be. I like your response. I spoke to El Cupcake about this. I genuinely don't think I am the person I made myself out to be. I was singing at the time when I typed my responses.
