The funny things that God gets to laugh at..
Is this Boston or Baghdad?
Here's a surprise, theres bombs in the trash cans
8 yr old lost, I feel nauseous for that dad
This carnage is sickening, how they target the innocent
Garbages sizzling blowing arms to oblivion
It's so painful, it's scary. They threw in nails with the bearings
Limbs are dangling barely. This happens when angels are staring?
Say a few words on Facebook & they label it caring
Is there something amusing when hundreds are wounded?
What do they expect to come from the news clips?
Body parts flying got even gaundi's heart crying
Over seas, now our own citizens oddly are dying
I guess standing in a public place you pay the price
Go from watching the race to watching ppl race to save your life
Pulled a war zone out a marathon
Plant a seed then dare the pawn to share the song
Terror drawn with a pair of bombs
Walked in with a pair of legs, now the pair is gone
Who do we put the error on?
Our society or the stations they air it on?
This tragedy put Boston on the map with Sandy Hook
A damning look at madness has every family shook
Create more laws, it still won't solve the hate
At home fall the brave..
Nice to know that terror's only a phone call away

Nice piece man. The rhyme scheme was pretty simple but the lines were deep with meaning. The opening was powerful. My favorite line was about the facebook shit. I hate that as well. Post some kind words on facebook to say that you care. If you really cared you'd be helping...but I digress. Very nice piece and fitting for the time after that shit because I feel just like this right now. Frustrated and angry that people could even do this shit. I like it man. Props.

you aint never lying man.. cosigning everything you said here.

i really like reading your more serious verses centered on real events. you have a knack for making it glow under your criticisms and commentary.

angels are watching line was fire. so was the opening bit.

I guess standing in a public place you pay the price
Go from watching the race to watching ppl race to save your life
Pulled a war zone out a marathon
Plant a seed then dare the pawn to share the song
Terror drawn with a pair of bombs
Walked in with a pair of legs, now the pair is gone

i know you stay in oregon but heres hoping you werent personally effected by the bombings. even though from a certain point, it's personal for all of us

stay up jefe.

really really well done man. probly best thing u've ever possted that i've ever read, straight up. Content was bang on, just honest legitness not swayed any certain way with a specific opinion. Flow was effortless yet complex, made this look way too easy. every word choice was perfect, you took everyday words and made it sound dope. really impressive man. this is super awesome. given the touchy subject you pulled it off immaculately. major props. def voting on this for monthly recognition. great open mic
