This new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield - on the sea - as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war. 300: Rise of an Empire pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemesia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.

the first movie sucked lol. it was entertaining to watch stoned or whatever but looking back the shit was terrible

also they did a shitty job of even showing what went down anyways. there was at least 5400 greek troops could have been as many as 11,200. 300 of which were spartans. the persians had anywhere from 70,000 to 300,000 tho. so it was still stupid lopsided.

i forget, but in the movie im pretty sure the greeks recovered leonidas' body. could be wrong. but word in reality xerxes had his head cut off, and his body crucified. they killed everyone. then went on to sack 3 cities, including athens, which was there goal.

in short the greeks fucking lost yo. sure years later they won some battles and pushed the persians out of greek lands

but the persians did exactly what they set out to do, all the spartans and others who stood at thermoplyae or whatever, all they did was delay the inevitable. they still burned athens. they still conquered shit.

im guessing this next movie is what happens after athens and all that is destroyed

i just didnt like how they go from the spartans defeated to a scene with thousands of greeks ready to murk out. them niggas tucked there balls between there legs and fled to salamis

to put it in a modern perspective

it'd be like the million man army of china landing on the west coast. and like alllllll the marines the americans have holding back there advance before being slaughtered to a man. and when that happens we all run to canada. and then when the chinese exhausted there supplies and shit, after sacking every major city, us coming out of canada and beating them out later

oh the marines held them off for awhile so we could all be cowards and run. what a heroic tale

Yeah they delayed the inevitable but they at least had the balls to stand up and fight. That's still badass. And agreed it's a movie to watch stoned with your buddies. Watching it by yourself its ridiculous lol.
