They are entering the tournament hot, have one of the best tournament coaches ever, have a pair of senior stars, have top-10 NBA prospect, have depth across the board and are coming off the Big Ten Conference championship.
I'm not saying they will make it, but why are they overvalued? Numerous major statistical analyses also like their chances quite a bit.

Everything is based off of them "finally being healthy" - this can impact team mechanics. Even if you throw talent into the middle of the talent pool, one gear can affect the rest.
The other issue is that they've been able to put up such gaudy numbers on the boards because they play in the B1G. I think they'll get bullied by a team that can outpace and outsize them. MSU relies on their defense more than anything (as much, if not moreso, than Syracuse).
I don't see them making it past Louisville if they go that far.
(for what it's worth, I have them losing to Florida in a toss-up)

Wait, so you think people are overrating them, but you're picking them to make the Final Four? I was expecting you to say Cincinnati would clobber them.

Yes. People are saying they are a lock for the NC. All of the ESPN talking heads picked them to win easy.
MSU's initial bracket path is one of the softest.
It doesn't get tough until Iowa State (who I have over a fading Villanova who might not even get that far).

Nate Silver and Ken Pomeroy like Villanova. I don't see the top-shelf talent to win it.

You can't lose to Seton Hall right before the big dance and win much.

I dislike stupid questions like this.
No, that Arizona that had anal sex with a toad while sawing a honda accord in half with a rusty spoon.

Ohio State and Oklahoma kinda ruined my bracket a bit as I had them in the sweet 16, but a couple of good picks like Mercer and SF Austin have me sitting pretty.
