Welcome to a special edition of the AOWL magazine, Week 11. I know a lot of you have been wondering if there would ever be a magazine & now here is your answer. As some of you know, I will no longer be a competitor in the league as I'm dealing with some real life issues, but I will continue running this league as usual barring anything drastic. This is a special edition because.... I say it is. Doing some things differently here but I believe you guys will enjoy the read (or die from the overdose). Keep up because this will be a ride. Let's go.....

OPEN MIC FEATURE PRESENTATION #1

HALL OF FAME INDUCTED
"Alpha-Beta"
written by zygote

Alpha-Beta, a broca’s area big as building architecture,
begin a bold adventure, beware armed berretta argue better.
acting bitter, act berserk angled back a battle axe,
airborne bio attack - bacillus anthrax,
but alas biological agents became amassed,
bitches attached breathing apparatus after being assaulted and bashed.
before a beast a basilisk, always breathing acidous,
but after a body as broken as a beadless abacus,
applying behavioral analysis, beating amateurs,
brutalized adversaries begin applying bandages.
all battles are basic and boring average,
blasting at a barracks, ballistic ammunition browning automatic.
barbiturate addict, binged alcohol, benzo’s, analgesics, behaviour affected,
blunted avolition, became anaesthetic, bored apathetic.
but afterwards became a behemoth across battle arenas,
before amphitheatres, basically atheist believer,
abiogenesis – before archosaurs, before animals, before amoebas.
a billion ages back, aminoacid blocks,
ancestral bacteria appeared before any bony arthropods.
Archaea brought across by asteroid belts accompanied by acid base acetate,
became animate, basic adaptations, afterwards bipedal apes.
but anyway beaten absolutely black and blue, and baselessly accused,
became amused by alien beings always blamed as aerial balloons,
attention barely attuned, buried alive between a bonsai and bamboo.
among blood and bones,
and born again brandishing arrows bows and braggadocio.
accurate blows, above below and beyond,
aluminium bronze atomic bombs, all built by automatons and bionic arms.
bludgeoned and beheaded, ante bellum, apprehension,
berate anybody attempting bringing aggression.
Brain awareness born, burning alms before almighty Ba’al,
Any bastard attempting brawl always befalled against Borg.
All bars appall, became antiwar, Bronze Age bowl anthropologist,
Breathe antioxidants but adsorb bicarbonates.
Androgynous bitches appear beastly,
Approximately, beasts appear briefly, appendages beady,
Ageless, baseless, an agnostic believing after abdominal bleeding,
Ancient blasphemer as brutal as battle armies besieging.
A bent arc, black alchemy batter anatomy,
Audacious barbarity accelerates brain atrophy,
A botched abnormality, became Alumni - battle academy.
Back away basic amphibians,
Bourgeois agrarians breed algal bacterium across biotope aquariums,
Avian birdlike aliens buzz about broken atriums.
But awareness becomes almost boring, an action befitting,
Because Alpha-Beta – Always Beginning.

Congrats to zygote for having the first ever piece inducted into the Open Mic Hall of Fame. Great job, homie.

Okay... now let's-

BRING THAT BACK!
[Week 9 & 10 Match RE-CAP.]

***Due to the amount of characters prohibited, the recap is only brief.***

WEEK 9 RECAP

TYSON picked up win number 3 on the season (3-2) as he came back in a late vote surge to top patrown (2-3) in a Black divisional match up, 5-4.

The votes went back & forth in this match up between two rising writers but in the end Xces (2-0) managed to get pass Nigma (4-3) in a close, 6-5 victory.

zygote (7-1) continues his reign as the AOWL champion, as he easily rolled pass Mike Wrecka (5-4), 11-0, his first successful title defense thus far.

Red glare (6-2) made it two successful contendership wins this season, easily dismantling Adonis (4-2), 10-0, to set up a week 10 championship match against zygote. The last time RG made the championship match, he was beatened by Frank.

IAmBenT (5-1) continues his hot streak, picking up his 4th straight win & earning a spot in a contenders match next week, as he beat a very solid pohfig (4-2), 7-3.

TD5 (4-0) remained unscatched, surviving an almost scare against c.d.m. (2-7), 5-3, where once again- as most match ups with Veritas are, almost swung the other direction.

The Vator (4-5) earned a much needed win this season, with an impressive 6-2 victory over a solid writer in Ink (3-3).

Buddha (5-4) has been picking up steam as the playoffs near close, pulling off a solid 7-2 win over Just Write (0-2), who picked up another loss, remaining winless to start his young season.

Falling to a quick 2-0 deficit, I was able to string off 7 straight votes to fend off a solid Objective (2-3) verse, 7-2.

Split (5-3) continues to build up momentum as he easily handled Juxtaposition (1-1) in a 8-0 knockout victory.

WEEK 10 RECAP.

Objective (3-3) came back from a loss last week, to earn a much needed win this week as he rolled through The Vator (4-6), 7-0.

IAmBent (6-1) makes it 5 in a row, heading into week 11's AOWL championship match, as he blew pass myself, in a 6-2 win.

ZeeDee (4-2) works his way into the contenders match as he pulled off an impressive 7-0 shutout win over a strong Adonis (4-3).

In a battle of crewmates, soldiers, Just Write (1-2) managed to pick up his first win of the season as he slid pass nO goOd! (0-2), 6-3, who continues to look for his first victory.

pohfig (5-3) earned a much needed victory as he was able to put together another well written verse & stomping DeadLion (0-1) in his seasonal debut, cruising to a 10-0 knockout.

Vulgar (3-0) served up TopicalDood5's first loss of the season & will earn a chance to get into a title match against ZeeDee, as he pulled off a 7-3 win.

In a match of two under the rader writers, Nigma (5-3) got back to his winning ways, as he gave Mike Wrecka (5-5) his fifth loss of the season in an impressive 8-2 win.

zygote (8-1) makes it two successful title defenses in a row, as he was able to edge out Red glare (6-3), in a 5-3 nailbiter.

"Valentine's Day, 1884"
written by IAmBenT

Valentine’s Day, 1884

Bright as the wax moon, her laugh swooned, swooped, a white crane,
Her blithe name the sprite rabbit I chased to make my life mate-
My Alice,… I- the blood, She – the chalice… Her eyes, a dove, no malice..
A family to establish, in our extravagant palace…Now I babble, unbalanced…
Grief the empty sleeve unsheathing death’s talons,… and with a high slice..
The wick blinks with night twice… “The Light Has Gone Out Of My Life”..

Mother Martha, Itty bitty “Mittie”, was Parthenon great – She’d Say,
“I came from owning slaves to being Thee’s slave”, but we praised
Her hard labor in the face of Father’s fortune was grace apportioned
As a taste of favor to my sore, thin – lungs wrung from asthma wheezes,
Many hymns sung from asking Jesus, “Please, Master heal this
Son!, like Paul’s kerchiefs slung in Past Ephesus”..Wracked with diseases,
I sleep slumped in a chair, - but once I’m aware, its back to being hyperactive
Catching bugs in glasses since Father bought an otter seal and hacked it!
Disgusted at its bits of guts and its bicuspids, but the stuff I trusted
Was each gush of grit and crust had purpose, fit and function – I was rare!
Like Audubon’s broad birds of the air… the raw earth of S. Fullerton Baird!
Until I got bullied and scared- So Pop taught me the thoughts of Franklin,
Pushups and fisticuffs toughen muscle expansions! A strong Father’s a Grand Thing..
Now Memory’s grafting Mittie, as it did He in his passing…

After Harvard, where I carved up beasts and theses alike,/
Doc said “put your heart first, cease seeking the strife”/,
but my strenuous life, part and parcel of Twain’s “Roughing It”/,
was, until my Lark sung, far-flung and unsubstantive/
She was my Sutter’s Gold, a wonder to behold in blessed splendor/
I know how Truman’s soul glowed in Nevada’s tense adventures/
So I took to tennis, riding, rowing, hiking, all aerobics/
Befriend her kin, impressed with skinny dips in the Potomac!/
Quoting French and probing those who attack the tracts of Lincoln/
All so she’d know that I’m, in fact, the man to whom she has to give in..

Only Defoe’s Crusoe, in his fits and throes, could know the cold hold of growing old alone
As I sit and, slow as a broken bone, try to fix and mold that frozen stone
That rolls in my chest, as, choking, my breath pressed … on that baby’s face.
My nose, her lips and Mittie’s cleft…. Dear God, Amazing Grace.
No emotions expressed as we both, motherless, now gaze, her eyes and mine
The oceans regress, and, open regret’s shallow waves drown Valentine’s…

And see, because I read one to three books per day/And I came self-made from a crooked way/To be brave as a brook that sprays/ in the face of a man who would look and say/“I will kill every single being that this stream feeds.”/ I believe in the Dream that America bleeds,/In the plains and the hills and the air of green trees!/

..So I leave my political passions, Place the babe in her aunt’s hands and abandon the mansion..

Which rings with the laughs of Alice and Mittie,..
I’m sick of that Death Rider that saddles the city…
My only love now lies West in the Wild.. Weigh this pain, just suppress it and smile..
Start up again with a Pioneer’s heart…Dakota Buffalo might provide a year’s spark..
Always read and dreamt about it.. Westward Ho!... Amazing.
I wonder if the tales I’ve traipsed will match the trails I’m blazing…

For “Mittie” and my lovely Alice, now Departed, ever felt
Sincerely, Son and Husband, T. Roosevelt.

Your LOT score you get is:12 .

You are very pessimistic

E.M.T's rushed out of the ambulance - fearlessly helpful -
You could see adrenaline running like mascara smearingly sentimental.
The emergency bag carrying the essentials - to the scene of the accident, hair-tearingly eventful.
A flipped vehicle, spilling, gasoline like tears of the devil.
The driver behind the Kia Sorento is clearly disheveled; wearily mellow -
For having flipped over the median - getting ejected - and clearing a fence pole.
A first time father. A bad experience from the get go.
The responsibility memo sailed into his window
Sincerely, The Threshold.
His wife couldn't get pregnant; called him hysterically with Hello!?
''Estamos teniendo un muchacho del bebé!!!!''
"Oh hell no"
Who was in his home, in his lair -
'Esta muerto!'
Most of the time he wasn't there; working indispensable schedules.
Plans of becoming parents hatched like herring-deep cesspools.
Tiringly trying to swim upstream - being speared unsuccessful..
Beer after beer after beer after beer after beer after beer after beeer
Veering revengeful.
Steering suspenseful.
The rear view mirror rewinded his future;
Merely mementos.
The red moon of death looms.
Blood shot eyes in flashlights appear regretful.
The E.M.T sorts enthusiastically through gauze and sheers utensils;
Reminding you to remain calm as sirens caringly echo;
A dull glaze leeringly gentle... Looking into a sky clearly judgmental
The light at the end of the tunnel, peering at you daringly detrimental
His wife had giving birth to a conspiracy named Celestial
The hospital staff cheered; but she wondered why her husband isn't here; her Angelo.
..
The driver of the Lincoln Continental is pulled from the wreckage by his elbow
The medical team; hovers over him like angels; his halo - lumineeringly special.
Sterile scissors cut the clothes from his spirits impenetrable force field of ventricles and skeletal bones.
The barricade holds back the crowd; jeering; engrossed.
The driver of the Continental is asked by God 'What he feels in his soul;
..
He tells him;
'the driver of the Kia Sorento is in need of serious hope'

His wife is in the hospital; in tears; in console.

The baby was born 9 pounds - 3 ounces; healthy as the white-tailed deers in the grove."
...
"Angelo; we need to know if you have any sensation near your toes"
..
''So what'll it be''
God said, domineeringly so...
..
The driver of the Lincoln Continental; saw the situation - answering slow...
..
"Use my good karma as Clearance of the driver of the Kia Sorento...."
..
The phone rang in cresendo: his wife answered: expecting good news;cherished aglow
Seeing the world through her rose colored glasses; she prepared a ear for his tone.
..
"Maria your husband has been in a car accident; he is irreparably whole -
It is a miracle he's even alive - But he's hanging in there..."
..
"Angelo...
..
Angelo Count your blessings... bro you're going home to see Celestial!"
..
Optimism is a person becoming paralyzed from the waist down realizing that he still has the hands to hold his embryo.

How optimistic are you?

"The Parrilla of Barbarella"
written by Cereal_Killa

"...it is like writing history with lightning and my only regret is that it is all so terribly true."
Woodrow Wilson

The Parrilla Of Barbarella

The value of shock can be weighed by its truth
As halo's still rot in the fingers of proof
..A slight sting.. ..A bruised pride..
Lightning doesn’t strike twice
It’s infinite through time
..
Pain now berths from a period of peace, pride and prosperity
Bane she perched, a bride bound to her balcony of brevity
Free it seemed of debris before but sure to breach, are her flaws
Art or War, an oil painting still bleeding her torment in awe
From a princess of purlieu to a prop on a pedestal
She drops from Belle to Barbie and then calls it a miracle
Her mind has altered from internal growth to outer beauty
Doubting her own beliefs, consumed and seized by this mounting duty
An unsoundly munich pact of death’s music moving BACK
Back in her mind playing her demise on the Palillo she claps
Hysteria patterns a patchwork quilt that she builds from guilt
Distilled on a pillar of puerility, B’s will now wilt’s
A waltz of pent up pestilence from pressure, too tense to vent
With force she’s ordered in a cage for women of insolence
Like hell and high lightning, her standoff nature turns violent
As scientist devise a vital device for the deviant
An electrical toy of conviction to gratify her needs
A stimulant stem of wires incased, to vibrate and please
Though her diseased mind at this time cannot fathom connection
The guards hold her down, massaging her clitoris.. To perfection

Habitstance

Work work work...
to fill the hole in your jeans.
Hold your esteem so no one sees and dont be displeased
- you only got the job because of the hole in your genes.
Its cold in my dreams.
So cold that it feels like hope when I breathe
getting burned in every burst as it floats into steam.
Every Three-sixty leaves me crispy -
over-rotisseried.
I'm burnt out, on my third round - I blurt loud in soliloquy
scolding the people that don't know what protocol means.

Toe-to-toe, blow for blow fiends waving their motion to leave
while rowing their shoulders against the undertow of the stream.
Repulsively eat - and fill the hole that you feed.
Hunger and thirst will lessen the first impressions
of the goals that you meet.
Money Money Money
you can pay the toll in your sleep.
Shedding weight is second rate if you're going for keeps.
We're programmable animals who's egos will deplete
if control isn't seized by force of our greed the moment we need.

Photos in heaps - ageless with our friends in a sanctum of events.
Too broke to thrive with no overdrive - laying in our beds.
We're crazy in our heads with all our imagery and shapes:
An awfully glossy coffee table mache'd from the filthiest mistakes
for you to kick your feet off the road of bills that you have paid.
There's Routine - in blue jeans and a beer belly - sitting in constraints -
Whiskey and an eighth hanging by a noose and giving him the aches.
Watching wasted obligations that the television illustrates.
A shadow in vast throes of past hopes as a figure in the drapes -
Robbers breaking in with blades of guilt to pick apart the brain -
I felt a vicious repetitious set of wishes quickening the pace.
The keyhole seems close to the spot where our conviction drifts away.
Room lit through a lamp cover that was a prism of decay -
A glimmer in the day from the M.I.B.-like omission of our faith,
A light switch manipulating personalities that're critically acclaimed,
..and a cat - paw deep in the aquarium - simply fishing for escape.

Whirring, whizzing, pissing, sitting, moaning, dizzy
and replay.
We're calm and considerate as long as our interests are maintained -
We'd run our feet to the bone chasing more than one of your thoughts
so
“We cannot do [everything] , but we can do something at once.”
-Calvin Coolidge

ANARCHIST PROPAGANDA MATERIAL.

"Any man who has had the job I've had and didn't have a sense of humor wouldn't still be here." - Harry S. Truman

breathe out.

breathe in. release chi from the mental.
meet Petr Vilshenko, today the same as everyday he’s feeling so dreadful,
his people called him Petr the Miserable Devil, not an agreeable fellow,
he receives a briefing and memo marked Recent-Essential, Keep-Confidential.
asleep in the press room, the pressure deepens to tenfold.
it grows increasingly stressful,
his appearance disheveled, fearful and fretful.
impeccable completed credentials, trade union leader at eighteen rearing to let go.
A worker’s revolutionary who brought his people from ghettos.
His ideal of Pochvennichestvo – the release of his people from Imperialist cesspools,
His Free Territory at the feet of the Dnieper assembled,
the spirits ancestral, a dream of a place that’s peace and respect filled,
The Old Doctrine of his free manifesto – The Revolutionary idealism is central.
but this ideal developmental twisted from the heat of the metal.
his sons died during the coup – like in keeping with tempo then peaked to crescendo.
the day when Our Hero reached his potential, he also descended deep into refuge,
a mental state of meaningless deluge that clearly resembles the deepest celestial.
The New Doctrine of his free manifesto – he wrote Life is a meaningless road on an unreasonable dead world,
Ninety percent of society reduced to slavery the means justified by the end goals,
The other ten percent receives complete freedom for being successful, breaching threshold of human achievement and levels,
He wrote Laughter opposes Labor and is unnecessary for achieving your set goals.
To create his nihilistic utopia deceit was essential.
Secret police moved like demons revenge filled, torturing political dissidents with bleeding utensils.
Vilshenko orders his meetings rescheduled. begins reading the previous memo – “Leader. The proletariat claim your mistreatment's neglectful, underground groups are scheming to get you…”
Petr loosens his prehensile on pencil, it falls to the floor with a serious echo,
He can’t escape the feeling of nearing his peril.
impending feelings of dread loom. when life means nothing do you still believe it is special?
An experience of fear is embezzled, he planned to keep his mementos from usurping the seat of supreme presidential,
his sons by his side when they sacked St. Petersburg’s temple.
it all built to this moment, a predestined path with a sequence sequential,
he’s feeling resentful but will not let his leadership tremble.

In conclusion, humor is a leadership quality like nihilism is a leadership quality, leaders are oppressive and their character traits become the norm. The common individual is only forced to go along. The Petr Vilshenko exposition demonstrates the topic’s wrong. Further, you wonder how Truman could ever have a sense of humor after ordering the use of two atomic bombs.

"The Truman Show"
written by Red glare

"These polls that the Republican candidate is putting out are like sleeping pills designed to lull the voters into sleeping on election day. You might call them sleeping polls." Harry S Truman
.....
....
...
..
.
Truman succeeded to the presidency on April 12, 1945...
President Franklin Delano Roosevelt had died. The nation was mortified.
The President of the Cold Wars lie in Warm Springs, Georgia under a stormy sky.
His body ice cold, but in the hearts of every Soviet soldier; triumph was thawing with remorse to the mind.
He had lead a country through the Great Depression; through the daunting demise.
'Was elected 4 consecutive times by a country who bypassed the fine-print clause which he signed.
He had big shoes to fill. He only walked in a 9. Shoes polished to a porpoises shine by a pauper;
Who propped his foot; with all of his might; and palmed at the hide, while the president looked on Pompous with pride.
He sliced the american pie; giving everybody his portion; on a plate of porcelain design.
Fine china -
The Japanese had in their cabinets was sent flying in the explosion of forks and knives.
The world was at war - trying ward off a up rise; that would change the course of the times.
At the cross roads; where any faltering would divide the country, with a crow bar, causing it to pry
open -
Exposing the underbelly of a vulnerable nation; sprawling in it's slime.
The door was off it's hinges swinging with a pretentious whine like barn doors, poured on with tides.
Over time,
A well oiled machine dries to a stall of a standstill even when you 'floor it' in on drive.
President Franklin Delano Roosevelts death left America a sight for sore eyes.
..
Meanwhile V.P Harry Truman was crossing his tie - preparing to be sworn in - Live!
He had only been on the job for 82 days; on the morning of the mourning; resign.
..
Lets fast forward to his Press Conference; August 6th. 1945.
..
Only it's April 2013; And I'm a reporter for the New York Times.
...
..
Truman rushes out of a room full of smoke - cigars of fury
Loud congressmen voices fade as the door shuts them out; There harps of worry.
Truman isn't a burly man; all of 5'8, in a harmless hurry.
..
"Sir, where were you born?''
...
..
.
"Lamar, Missouri.."

His southern drawl was unnerving - A dumb numb of the twirl of the tongue;
He twiddled his thumb but he wasn't unfurled.
..
Is it true you're the only president who never graduated from college?
..
He shrugged, responding -

"'C' students run the world!"
..
We all chuckled, somewhat disturbed.

The room started to listen.
..
"My choice early in life was either to be a piano player in a whorehouse or a politician.
And to tell the truth, there’s hardly any difference. "

The journalist snickered and scribbled amused.
..
“How many times do you have to get hit over the head until you figure out who’s hitting you."
"If you can't convince them confuse them"
He said, each reporter trying to get in a question.
..
How do you feel knowing you're responsible for the death of thousands?somebody said upsetting the jester setting.

The President gave it a brief second of recollection.

"It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit."
.....
....
...
..
.
Truman didn't know about the plans to build atomic bombs, they had been so top secret,
Even the Vice-President of the United States was not to 'breach it.
About three months after Truman became President, the Trinity Test took place.
The Trinity Test was the code name given to the first atomic bomb to successfully devastate.
The Trinity Test proved that atomic bombs would work, if they were needed to be used in war.
In August of 1945; the United States was still fighting in World War II
Against the nation of Japan...
Told about the successful Trinity Test of an atomic bomb, President Truman followed through on what Franklin had planned.
It was his hope that the power of the bomb and the damage it would cause might be enough to stop fighting,
So, an atomic bomb named “Little Boy” was dropped on the city like a swat of 6 billion watts of lightning.
When the Japanese didn’t surrender after the “Little Boy” bomb destroyed Hiroshima,
President Truman ordered that a second atomic bomb, called “Fat Man” be deployed; to ether.
Several days later, as President Truman considered using even more atomic bombs,
The Japanese decided to surrender, waving the white flag; with the red dot upon
..
"The atom bomb was no great decision. It was merely another powerful weapon in the arsenal of righteousness"
He said; peering through his glasses; fogged with reporters breathing hard with excitement.
..
"Whenever the press quits abusing me I know I'm in the wrong pew" He spoke adamant.
..
"I don't mind it because when they throw bricks at me- I'm a pretty good shot myself and I usually throw 'em back at em'"
"I remember when I first came to Washington. For the first six months you wonder how the hell you ever got here."
..
"For the next six months you wonder how the hell the rest of them ever got here"
..
"Once a decision was made, I didn't worry about it afterward"
..
A Japanese reported stood up and blurted a callous blur of savage slurs

"私はあなたがこのくそいまいましい息子WTFが何かを構成する翻訳作ら笑は、このたわごとを翻訳!!!!! !!!!!!!"

The reporters restrained. His eyes deafening. Being carried out - crying avengingly,
..
"Carry the battle to them. Don't let them bring it to you. Put them on the defensive. And don't ever apologize for anything."
..
The room was unsettling; the questions were admittedly less cynically clever.
..
What are your thoughts on Minimum wage?
..
"The republicans believe in minimum wage - the more minimum, the better!"
..
"It's a recession when your neighbor loses his job; it's a depression when you lose yours"
"When even one American - who has done nothing wrong is forced-by fear
to shut his mind and close his mouth-then all Americans are in Peril"
..
Reporters sneered hysterical, his plainspoken common sense - the sharp wit -
His blunt honesty, his zero tolerance policy for bullshit.
..
"I fired Mac-Arthur because he wouldn't respect the authority of the president."
..
"I didn't fire him because he was a dumb son of a bitch,

Although he was."
..
"Republicans don't like people who talk about depressions. You can hardly blame them for that.
..
"You remember the old saying: Don't talk about rope in the house where somebody has been hanged at"
"Any man who has had the job I've had and didn't have a sense of humor wouldn't still be here"
..
He said leaning into the microphone so his voice would be clear.
..
"I don't believe in anti-anything. A man has to have a program; you have to be for something, otherwise you will never get anywhere"
"The Buck stops here!"
..
He rose from the chair - right on cue:
..
"Tact is the ability to step on a mans toes without messing up the shine on his shoes"
..
The questions flew as he made a bee line for the red sign.

Are you confident you'll beat out Dewey at the deadline?

"In most of my campaigns, I find it is best not to mention my opponent by name because, by doing so, it just gives him a chance to get into the headlines.”
..
Bursting with laughter - the crowd started shrieking with yells
Spontaneous human combustion - Someone had blew up into smithereens on themselves.
A mushroom cloud engulfed him; as he leaves -

"Fairwell"

“I never give the public hell. I just tell the truth, and they think it's hell.”

Congrats to each of these writers for such excellent pieces during these past two weeks.

Y'all still with me? I told you this is going to be a super duper trifecta right? Let's check out Adonis' edition of no show love.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeTanj5YfFA

No Show Love
produced by Adonis

Patrown – Wrote a story of a pilot and co-pilot although “story” is used lightly here. There was no real climax or emotion in the verse, to me, this verse was the original definition of “no show verse”. I will add that I did enjoy it for what it was, painted a good enough scene in my head where I visualized most of the verse, but as it was cut short, so to is this....

Tyson– I rather enjoyed this shortened verse, although I wish there was more. There was a fairly decent amount of content for 10 bars, and the flow was steady and consistent. I honestly think I've only read one of your verses ever, and I didn't enjoy it too much. So I always assumed you sucked, haha, but this verse showed raw talent is there and apparent. I hope you keep it up and do your thing broham.

Lifes spark..the bang that christ brought, is a mystery
Thru history we have embarked to obtain that complicity
For we are sheeps to the gods just dollys to carry the load
Deprived control over fate that death holds on our insignificant souls

Some solid writing and concepts in this verse, good shit...

Buddah – First off, thank you for voting on what seems like every battle the day after extensions, you are too kind sir, even if you voted against me and said mines was good :( I will assume this was a keystyle? And I imagine I'm correct, although it was a good, heart-felt verse. I loved the play of politicians as well, as most of it rang true to me. The beginning half had really good flow, and then you started breaking sentences into two different lines which I don't enjoy ever. Buddah wrote a verse on the aftermath of the Boston bombings, and tied this to political voting and swaying and what not. A very clean and clear approach read with ease, solid shit exoskeleton.

CDM – Great read, beginning to end. I enjoy reading your work every time, it reads extremely easy which is a plus, yet is always filled with great concepts or just raw imagery. CDM wrote a tale of the White House (namely Bush jr.) and its cult, and how Bush and his “apostles” are trying to summon Lucifer for the New World Order. This verse was cut extremely short, and I'm not sure how you would've linked the topic to the story line, but that would've been dope none the less.

There were thirteen hooded men with goat skull faces and eyes of scorn
There were candles amidst the pentagram and a lamb full shorn
These men slayed the lamb with a sword as W watched, stupid grin on his face
He then donned a red robe and took the other hood’s place.
He was given a dragon mask, and this one came complete with ivory horns
He was given a baby which now cries as it mourns….

Some great imagery that is just seamless to read, no hiccups...I wanted to also quote the speech in the end. One of the most difficult things in any form of writing is rhyming sensible dialogue, I enjoy trying as the degree of difficulty is astronomical. You did a decent job, but some lines clearly would not be used in regular conversation, however it rhymed and flowed well...

Cereal Killer - First off, apologies for CK, I'm writing this up on the fly. I originally didn't have time to finish all No Show Love, but Keith asked to help on this one, so it is what it is. To me, this verse was simply of a women being raped by vibrator. I don't quite understand the first part of a portrait, but that's not to say it wasn't good writing because it was. This was a short verse, doesn't read as a typical "no show" verse, but on the other end doesn't read as a typical CK verse either. Still, one of the better written works that I've read this week, which isn't much and I apologize for that. All in all a solid verse that was a bit too short, but victorious none the less. Quoted some very talented writing here...

From a princess of purlieu to a prop on a pedestal
She drops from Belle to Barbie and then calls it a miracle
Her mind has altered from internal growth to outer beauty
Doubting her own beliefs, consumed and seized by this mounting duty

As we move on- I got some things to say. How about a word?

A Word from the King.... "Awards, League Updates & The Offseason?!"

Alright folks, I wanted to just update y'all on some things that will be taking place now & after the season. You already know we're the best league on the net & I will keep this going even after the season.... yeah, you heard correctly- even AFTER the season.

First things first- I introduced this in a magazine earlier this season & a lot of your weren't around during that time, so I will re-update you right now. There will be awards given out this season & more seasons to come. The awards are as follows:

AOWL Undisputed Champion (given to the winner of the end of season tournament between the Titanium conference champion & the Platinum conference champion)

AOWL MVW (given to the leagues Most Valuable Writer)

AOWL MIW (given to the leagues Most Improved Writer)

AOWL BOTY (given to the leagues chosen Battle of the Year)

AOWL VOTY(given to the leagues chosen Verse of the Year)

AOWL Titanium Conference Champion (given to the winner of the Titanium Conference tournament bracket winner)

AOWL Platinum Conference Champion (given to the winner of the Platinum Conference tournament bracket winner)

AOWL Regular Season Champion (given to the regular season's number one ranked writer)

AOWL Voters Recognition Award (given to those who dedicate the time to vote in battles)

These are the main awards that will be given every season. There are other acknowledgements that will also be thrown in there pertaining to record keeping.

Speaking of which, let's discuss some league updates:

1. I will be requesting two sub forums for this league which will do two things: one forum will be the AOWL's vault, which will keep all records of conference/divisional standings, competitor records, no shows tallies- every kind of statistic that there is. The second forum will be the AOWL Hall of Champions, which will keep track of the best verses of each season, the best battles, Hall of Fame inductees, champions, awards- all of that good stuff.

I know a lot you writers will really like that kind of appreciation & dedication, knowing that your work will not only be saved, but available for view by yourselves & even those who may visit to check things out. In the event that the site crashes, I will have all of these things saved so it will never be lost & on top of that, I will move this league if ever that the site goes down or loses it's bang- well at least try to, but nonetheless that is what's going down.

2. Week 12 is approaching but that will not actually be the final week of the season. There will be an additional 13th week, a special because I plan to not only allow people to decide whether they would like to battle, but also open it up for any grudge matches that people wish to do but also, aside from the battles, I will begin the Awards nomination process so you guys can pick, vote who you believe earns what. Shit just gets doper right? Not even done.

I mentioned an offseason.... what the fuck? An offseason? What league does that? Well this one will. I know a lot of you love to write and usually when a league comes to a close, there is a period of "silence" that takes place before another season starts. Well, there will be no silence with the AOWL. During the offseason, I will be hosting 3-4 writing tournaments/competitions. They will vary. And the records of these competitions will also be kept in the AOWL Vault. There may be even a prize and/or prize pool invovled as well- not saying much about it at the moment, it's something that depends on circumstances, but in any case these tournaments/competitions will be sure to give anyone a chance to continue doing what they love & get some reps in before the new season comes back in action.

If you thought that season one of the AOWL was dope, well you won't believe what's in store for the next season. I've got some major, major plans I will be working to make next season even more epic, fun, and challenging. I will say this, and you can quote me on this: money talks. That is all.

Well, that is all for 'A Word from the King'. I thank you all for your time & patience with everything we've done in this league. It has been an experimental season, and even so, it has been a successful one because all of you have made it that way. Your participation is everything in this league which is why we are one of the more active & most talented league on the net. And I will definitely keep that way.

OPEN MIC FEATURE PRESENTATION #2

"Little Shop of Horrors"
written by nO goOd!

The Little Shop of Horrors

For the moment bells sound a jingle, the door swerves open.
A man at the counter welcomes me, his warm words spoken.
He’s dressed like an eccentric geek, and it’s rather unique.
There was a funny sort of accent that he had to his speech.
The store sold peculiar items; I perceived it as a guise.
That he decorates his shop so it’s pleasing to the eyes.
As I walk the shop, and stop to talk, it hits me like a nightstick
I notice on the wall, chains, whips, and an ice pick.

It’s stuffy in the room, so I had to say, “It’s so hot.”
But I was startled by the sound of an animating robot.
There’s a feeling in the air, like a basement, or an attic.
A retro sort of vibe mixed with mad max havoc.
The shop owner looks weathered, at least now it seems
His haunting masquerade is like a freaks Halloween.
This man is fuckin weird; I believe he would be dead
If he wasn’t behind the counter. But I see his wooden leg.

Nauseous, ready to vomit; It’s nothing to what I’m feeling
As I look up to find… That puppets are on the ceiling.
It’s crazy; this place is laden with secrets as well
A cellar door that opens up and lets me peek into hell
I see the man, as he flips the sign that says, “We’re closed”
You think I was shocked before? This time my head is froze
As I run toward the hidden door, I begin; I’m spittin bile,
I look back at the owner and he grins a wicked smile.

Down the stairs in a panic, I don’t even stop to look.
I ran past a butcher’s locker and the meat is on a hook.
There’s nothing but fear here, even the rats didn’t move.
I sped around a corner, before the last hidden room.
I kick in the door, to find that I’m barely phased but alone,
I stare dazed in a zone at the chairs made of bones.
I roundhouse the morbid furniture; I’ve broken his masterpiece,
And if he takes a single step… close then I’ll smash his teeth,

I’ll take this sick fuck, and choke him, he has to breathe
He gloats and he laughs, a beast, I hope that I’ll grab the keys
That I can see hanging just below the withered beams
Either I’ll escape, or have this creep blown to smithereens.
He takes a wild swing; in his hand is an axe
I dodge it, to land a punch that has him land on his back
I’m not gonna stick around to see who’s winnin this fight,
My main concern is getting out alive and livin my life.

My heart is pounding fast, I grab my chest, geeze it’s hectic.
Would you believe?! Your kidding me, I found a secret exit.
This man’s on the ground, now’s the time I make an escape
I step into the corridor and find some cages and grates,
With prisoners that he tied up, man he stashed a lot
inside the cells. I tried to yell like I swallowed Tabasco sauce
No use, no one could hear, I was deep and under the earth
So I tell this group that I can help “I’ll be needing one of your shirts”

I made a loop, hooked the door, and snapped it off the hinges.
God I’m good, you can’t deny the fact that I’m a ninja.
I let the people free, now we can overrun the demon
We tied him up, escaped the shop, and overcome the heathen.

“...I know the tale was a long one; did I bore you with the caper?
It’s really true, in 79’ the story was in the paper.
It’s time son, to rest. Close your eyes and you sleep.
Say a prayer to forgive me, I’ve done my time and I’m free...”

AOWL POWER RANKINGS (Week 10)

1. zygote (Platinum) (2x AOWL Champion- current) (7-1)------- this week: vs. Red glare (6-2).

zygote finally takes over at the #1 spot after an impressive championship win over Mike Wrecka. These last few weeks will be very intriguing in whether zy is able to remain at the top & champion. There are many who will be challenging & this week is expected to be one epic match up.

2. Red glare (Platinum) (6-2)------- this week: vs. zygote (7-1).

Red moves up one spot to #2 as he continues to roll in an impressive season of writing thus far. Once again he has the chance to obtain the AOWL championship. A win & he will not only become the new champ, but also sit at the top of the Power Rankings.

3. Frank (Titanium) (3x AOWL Champion) (6-2)------- this week: OUT.

Is the reign of Frank finally over? After losing the title for the first time two weeks ago, Frank suffered another loss by no showing to ZeeDee last week. Not much is known how long will he sit out or if he is coming back. He drops only two spots after the NS because of other losses by other top competitors ranked just below him.

4. King Keith (Titanium) (5-2)------- this week: vs. IAmBenT (5-1).

5. IAmBenT (Platinum) (4-1)------- this week: vs. King Keith (5-2).

BenT has been on a tear, riding a 4 match win streak & is now in position to earn a shot in the championship next week. He is one of 6 Platinum conference members who are in the Power Rankings. He has quietly rose up the ladder though his writing of late has spoken volumes.

6. Mike Wrecka (Titanium) (5-4)------- this week: vs. Nigma (4-3).

Wrecka has been under the radar all season, but remains one of the few to consistently remain in the rankings. He lost in the title match last week & will have some work to do to get another shot, with so many others surging up the rankings. A win this week is important, because a loss will drop him out more than likely.

7. TopicalDood5 (Platinum) (4-0)------- this week: vs. Vulgar (2-0).

Topical was just a King Keith loss away from jumping into the contenders match with many others losing above. But now he must wait one more week. Due to a fairly weak early schedule thus far (no key wins) he only moves up 2 spots but now has a chance to make a statement with a match against an unbeaten Vulgar.

8. Adonis (Platinum) (4-2)------- this week: vs. ZeeDee (3-2).

Adonis drops to 0-2 now in contendership match ups & will have a much difficult road to get another shot to make the title match unless he strings some wins together with key losses from others. He drops 3 spots after last weeks loss but still can be a danger to anyone in these last few weeks.

9. Split (Platinum) (5-3)------- this week: vs. Buddha (5-4).

Split has won back to back match ups in impressive fashion & is beginning to pick up steam as we near the playoffs. He makes his way back into the top 10 this week & can continue to rise if he can pull off another win against Buddha.

10. Vulgar (Platinum) (2-0)------- this week: vs. TopicalDood5 (4-0).

Vulgar returns to action this week in what is a key match to determine whether he will get a chance to make a run for the title before the season ends. He has already made a splash so far & if he can maintain momentum, he can possibly win the White division & take one of the top spots come playoff time.

THE AOWL OFFICIAL CONFERENCE & DIVISIONAL STANDINGS
(& Final Divisional Standings Predictions)

TITANIUM CONFERENCE

BLACK

1. TYSON (4-2) --
2. Vinzr (3-2) --
3. Ink (3-3) .5mb
4. dead man (2-2) 1mb
5. patrown (3-3) 2mb

You see, the Black division WAS up for grabs until word came that the dead man was returning to action. The race for the divisional crown will be very interesting. TYSON is now in control of his destiny. If he wins out, he will be the Black divisions champion & earn either a #2 or #3 spot. But that's if he wins out. Vinzr has been on hiatus. patrown has the most difficult road to make a push for 1st place. No telling when Ink will return but getting past TYSON & dead man will be a challenge.

FINAL DIVISIONAL PREDICTIONS: 1. dead man (6-3) 2. TYSON (5-4) 3. Ink (5-5) 4. Vinzr (3-2) 5. patrown (4-6)

BLUE

1. Mike Wrecka (5-5) --
2. Objective (3-3) 2mb
3. Genocide (2-3) 2.5mb
4. nO gOod! (0-2) 5mb
5. Venom (0-1) 5mb

At the start of the season, this division looked to be Genocide's but he hasn't been active in the league much & now it looks like Mike Wrecka is on the verge to win the crown. nO goOd! returns back to action, and can make a push if he wins the remaining of his match ups, barring Mike loses at least 2 or 3 more. Venom is still out & more than likely miss out on any chance to make the postseason along with Genocide. Objective can possibly rise as well, but like nO goOd! would probably need to win the remaining match ups.

FINAL DIVISIONAL PREDICTIONS: 1. Mike Wrecka (9-5) 2. nO goOd! (4-2) 3. Genocide (2-3) 4. Objective (4-6) 5. Venom (0-1)

GREEN

1. Frank (6-2) --
3. ZeeDee (4-2) 3mb
2. Witty (3-4) 5mb
4. Camp Bell (1-3) 5.5mb
5. Aesthetic (0-3) 6.5mb

Frank looks like he will be crowned the Green divisional champion, barring ZeeDee winning the rest of his match ups, which can be very possible. Aside from that outlook, ZeeDee & Witty will have to put together a late run in order to qualify for a playoff spot. Witty has been inconsistent this season & who knows whether he has the motivation to get in late. ZeeDee will have to win out plus hope Frank loses 2 or 3 more matches, or even don't bother to show the rest of the season, since he would own the tiebreaker over Frank if both end up with the same record at seasons end.

FINAL DIVISIONAL STANDINGS: 1. Frank (9-3) 2. ZeeDee (7-3) 3. Witty (6-6) 4. Camp Bell (1-3) 5. Aesthetic (0-3)

PURPLE

1. King Keith (5-3) --
2. Nigma (5-3) 1mb
3. Xces (2-0) 1.5mb
4. Que (1-0) 2.5mb
5. Devil's Reject (0-2) 5mb

This divisional race can be a problem barring a few circumstances. If Xces participates in 3 more match ups & wins them, along with Que, then you may see at least 4 members from this division in the playoffs. I am in control of my own destiny. Winning out would guarantee the division crown. Nigma can take the division with either two losses by me or finish with the same record (owns the tiebreaker thus far). Xces can win out (must participate in at least the last 4 weeks) & possibly take the crown with another loss at least by myself. Que can do the same as well by winning out with losses from the rest of the division.

FINAL DIVISIONAL PREDICTIONS: 1. Nigma (8-4) 2. King Keith (8-4) 3. Xces (5-2) 4. Que (3-1) 5. Devil's Reject (0-2)

PLATINUM CONFERENCE

RED

1. zygote (8-1) --
2. IAmBenT (6-1) 2mb
3. Split (5-4) 2.5mb
4. Mac (2-2) 4.5mb
5. Juxtaposition (1-1) 5mb

zygote has held down the #1 spot in a pretty tough Red division & is in control of being crowned the winner. IAmBenT only trails by 2 matches & would need some zygote slipping in order to be the champ. Even so, Split lies not too far behind & any loss by the other two will put Split in a good position. Mac more than likely is out the rest of the season & Juxta would have to win out & hope for collassal slip ups by zy, BenT & Split. Those chances are highly unlikely at this moment.

FINAL DIVISIONAL PREDICTIONS: 1. zygote (11-2) 2. IAmBenT (8-3) 3. Split (8-4) 4. Juxtaposition (4-3) 5. Mac (2-2)

WHITE

1. Adonis (4-3) --
2. Vulgar (3-0) 1.5mb
3. Zenland (6-4) 2.5mb
4. Atheist (2-5) 5.5mb
5. Just Write (1-2) 6mb

The race in this division really is going to come down to Adonis & Vulgar, but if anything dramatic happens, don't be surprised if Zen (now Buddha) ends up at the top. Okay, not happening, but he still is in playoff contention. Athiest (formerely Kuja) will more than likely have to win out to get in the playoffs as well as Just Write, but both would have to have some help to get there. While Adonis remains at the top spot, Vulgar can take over by winning at least 4 of the final 5 match ups this season.

FINAL DIVISIONAL PREDICTIONS: 1. Vulgar (6-1) 2. Adonis (7-4) 3. Buddha (8-6) 4. Athiest (4-8) 5. Just Write (2-5)

YELLOW

1. TopicalDood5 (4-1) --
2. pohfig (5-3) 3.5mb
3. c.d.m. (3-7) 6mb
4. HelloKitty (1-3) 6.5mb
5. Malachi (0-3) 7mb

What was once a one man division has now become anothers. TopicalDood5 has came in and taken over the #1 spot in the Yellow division leading the former leader, pohfig, by 2.5 matches. So clearly he is in control of his fate. poh will have much work to do but still can retain the spot. Aside from those two, the rest of the division is much too far to make anything happen other than pull some upsets. Kitty & Malachi are more than likely not going to participate the rest of the season & c.d.m. at most can be a thorn to any of the remaining competitors this season who may be trying to jockey for position for the playoffs.

FINAL DIVISIONAL STANDINGS: 1. TopicalDood5 (7-2) 2. pohfig (8-4) 3. c.d.m. (6-8) 4. HelloKitty (1-3) 5. Malachi (0-3)

ORANGE

1. Red glare (6-3) --
2. Cereal_Killa (3-1) 4.5mb
3. Innovator (4-6) 5mb
4. fenix osiris (1-0) 5mb
5. cakecakecake (0-3) 7mb

The Orange division looks to be Red's if he can maintain the lead over CK, who could put together a run to take the spot. fenix controls his playoff hopes & divisional fate if he can manage to win out (to take the divisional crown) or win 4 of his final 5 to get in the playoffs. Vator also controls his playoff destiny, and can possibly lock up a spot guaranteed by winning out. Any loss will make it that much difficult.

FINAL DIVISIONAL STANDINGS: 1. Red glare (10-3) 2. Cereal_Killa (6-2) 3. fenix osiris (4-2) 4. Innovator (6-8) 5. cakecakecake (0-3)

*mb= match ups behind (wins) *final divisional standings based on a 13th & 14th week (if implemented)

PLAYOFF PREVIEW
(Some analysis & Predictions)

If the playoffs were to start today, this is how things would look. Remember, 8 competitors from each conference will qualify.

TITANIUM CONFERENCE PLAYOFF OUTLOOK

Divisional Winners:

Black div.- TYSON (4-2)
Blue Div.- Mike Wrecka (5-5)
Green Div.- Frank (6-2)
Purple Div.- Nigma (5-3)

CONFERENCE STANDINGS/PLAYOFF PICTURE

1. Frank (6-2, Green.)
2. TYSON (4-2, Black.)
3. Nigma (5-3, Purple.)
4. Mike Wrecka (5-5, Blue.)
5. ZeeDee (4-2, Green)
6. Vinzr (3-2, Black.)
7. Objective (3-3, Blue.)
7. Ink (3-3, Black.)
9. patrown (3-3, Black.)
10. dead man (2-2, Black.)

DOES NOT QUALIFY: Xces (2-0, Purple.) *Xces can qualify by participating in Week 12 & 13, and winning at least one of those match ups. He can earn a spot by winning both of those matchups.*

As you can see, the black division is pretty strong & may reel in the most competitors. Mind you, dead man is returning & if he manages to win out, he could easily win the black division over TYSON, who may need to earn another win to make things more interesting. How about this for a scenario?: dead man wins in week 11 & 12, TYSON joins again and wins in week 12 setting up a divisional crown match week 13. Frank has to be careful, because a loss and a ZeeDee win will more than likely give ZeeDee the Green division crown, but we may also have a week 13 grudge match between those to to decide that winner. The Blue division has a similar case: Mike Wrecka & Objective are up against each other this week & the winner will more than likely be crown the divisional winner because they will have the tiebreaker edge. But if both end up with the same record come week 13, you may see another grudge match set up. Nigma is in the best position. He more than likely has the Purple division to himself (due to myself no longer competing & Xces being out). Some losses from other competitors in the conference & Nigma could enter the playoffs as the #1 seed.

PLATINUM CONFERENCE PLAYOFF OUTLOOK

DIVISIONAL WINNERS:

Red Div.- zygote (8-1)
White Div.- Vulgar (3-0)
Yellow Div.- Topicaldood5 (4-1)
Orange Div.- Red glare (6-3)

CONFERENCE STANDINGS/PLAYOFF PICTURE

1. zygote (8-1, Red)
2. TopicalDood5 (4-1, Yellow)
3. Red glare (6-3, Orange)
4. Vulgar (3-0, White)
5. IAmBenT (6-1, Red.)
6. Cereal_Killa (3-1, Orange)
7. pohfig (5-3, Yellow)
7. Buddha (6-4, White)
9. Adonis (4-3, White)
10. Split (5-4, Red.)

DOES NOT QUALIFY: None.

The Platinum conference has proven to be the most competitive conference this season with zygote leading the charge as champion & behind him a slew of writers who are just nipping at his feet. He can lock up the #1 spot with a win over IAmBenT barring TopicalDood5 managing to slide into a championship showdown with him at one loss, which then would put the title on the line & the #1 seed. The most interesting thing is that most of the seeding positions are still up for grabs. The one writer currently under the radar is Buddha (formerly Zenland) who has surged back into the playoff picture with some wins & believe it or not, can win the White division with some losses by Vulgar & Adonis, and another 2 wins in these final 3 weeks (if Buddha participates & wins in week 11, week 12, week 13, he would be 9-4 & any loss by adonis & vulgar will make him divisional champ by virture of have majority wins despite 4 losses- crazy right?). pohfig is currently in a tie with Buddha between the 7-8 spots, but like buddha he is still in position to win the division if Topicaldood5 slips up. IAmBenT can really make things interesting, and I will tell you why. If he happens to upset zygote in the championship match, he will then become the Red divisional leader (by virtue of tie breaker & one loss less than zygote) & that will mean zygote will fall down to 5th- due to the divisional winners earning the top 4 spots. But then again, either one of those writers at 5 would be a danger to whomever is 4th place. Adonis still has a chance to get into the playoffs, but would need wins & some losses from others. If Buddha, pohfig & Cereal Killa happen to slip, then he could easily get in. CK, will need to win at least two more times these final two weeks to solidify a spot. Split may no longer be participating, but he can even get into the race. These last few weeks will determine much in the Platinum conference.

Let's look at how those playoff match ups would look based on these standings at the moment:

TITANIUM CONFERENCE- ROUND 1 Match ups

(1) Frank VS. (8) Ink
(2) TYSON VS. (7) Objective
(3) Nigma VS. (6) Vinzr
(4) Mike Wrecka VS. (5) ZeeDee

One special note to mention: Since Vinzr has been inactive, his spot would be relinquished which means dead man or patrown would get in. The standing would be slightly different but this here is based on the current standing barring any special situations.

PLATINUM CONFERENCE- ROUND 1 Match Ups

(1) zygote VS. (8) Buddha
(2) TopicalDood5 VS. (7) pohfig
(3) Red glare VS. (6) Cereal_Killa
(4) Vulgar VS. (5) IAmBenT

The playoffs will be very, very intriguing & we might see some very, very great match ups go down & hopefully a classic or two. Everything will be up for grabs. Who will be crown AOWL's Undisputed Champion in the inaugural season? Stay tuned. You don't wanna miss it!!!

"I Wonder Aliens Are Watching Us & The Stars Are For Show"
written by Zombie

I give thanks for what I have. And because solely it is worth
A sort of amazing math. That adds on up, more than what’s on Earth.
Superlative at it’s worstest. You’re so perfect that it hurts.
Not perfect as in flawless. Perfect as in it looks to be rehearsed
There’s no way in hell, the way you smell, is heaven. It’s transversed
Cause once you came, you’d be here to stay. Was lonesome not coerced
The role reversal showed me your way. You’re honed, when roles reversed
It’s sort of awkward, and at first. You hope it isn’t forced
And your constant strings of the flings you’ve bombed doesn’t morph into a curse
I’m over it, of course. Honestly, I just wish you would’ve spoke your mind
But me and you were both just lonely. I probably wasn’t worth your time.
Self-Deprecation. I mean, not to be dramatic. But I just wasn’t fit to be.
What you and me both wanted, and we both wanted just to cease…
Living.
Living.
Living.
Repetition is a bitch. Repetition is a bitch.
Wasn’t even the brim of an ounce of the nasty you’ve previously encountered.
And now in the instance of a sudden, it’s me in who’s a coward?
Not saying I was perfect. I certainly strayed away and from my goals
I need a lawyer for decisions, not judgement from a mallet of my old (self)
You’re my lawyer. Didn’t judge me. Just stared into my soul.
Saw the branches and the vines. Detangled with your sword.
You didn’t save me, don’t get me wrong. You just helped me be so strong.
Gave me trust, and in your worth, your tongue, your lips, your words
You dripped a drop of liquid pench that quenched my mental thirst.
The tock’ll tick. In end, in sync, the clock’ll click the optic nerve.
That senses pics, that’s drenched, and clogged. The smog has got to serve
To be the necessarily evil, from where I was. Got me to where I were
Don’t even make yourself out to be a victim. You put yourself up in that spot
You blame it all on me. Please! YOU could wrap your neck up in a knot!
I was a different person even about 3 seconds before we kissed.
But once we interlocked, I split my form and felt a force become within.
When we hug. Hug you tight. Mesh this body into yours
Never take for granted what you love. It’s what you love.

Let's get into a new edition to the AOWL magazine.

King Keith presents.... "A Writers' Thoughts"

I'd like to thank all who dropped their thoughts in this fresh edition of "A Writers' Thoughts". This week, I asked a simple question, "What inspires you to write?". Let's take a look at everyone's thoughts:

So... what inspires you to write?

Nigma says....

There's no limit to what I find inspiration from. A lot of the time I am observant of average and every day things around me, always searching for something that presents an interesting image, some twist innovative on wordplay, a cool sounding phrase that would turn into a dope rhyme scheme, an insightful multi-layered concept that could be formed into a dope topical I could twist to whichever topic it could pertain to, the list goes on. The magnum opus of my inspiration, however, lies in emotion. I feel like I can tear any verse up when I get have a solid basis of foundation, but when I have a strong emotion towards the subject matter I feel as though I am on another level and that the writing just flows through my as if my brain is just the middle man between the raw emotion and the finished product. Inspiration comes from many many places, but emotion is a writers best friend.

Objective says....

I don't know, the obvious answer for me would be surrealistic art, something on my mind, a cool story I'd like to tell or something like that. But that's just the surface of what makes me start writing.
On a deeper it's probably the need to express myself through words or just be heard in one way or the other without being interrupted and actually get credit for the shit I'm saying when it's dope wether what I'm saying is meaningful or not. I guess it's a way for me to challenge the worth of the abstract parts of my mind to an audience in a way they can grasp as no-one likes crazy.

Natural says....

Writing to me is both a hobby and emotional outlet. I can't nit write. Can you breathe without oxygen? Same concept for me as corny as that may sound. I usually put myself around all different levels of writing talent and frequently collab because i end up being inspired by creativity of other as much so as my own creativity. I enjoy truly crafting up pieces that take meshing of ideas between people because in my humble opinion its much more difficult and more rewarding. People inspire my writing. My life inspires my writing. And its fun.

Genocide says....

What inspires Gen to write..

Well, there's a number of things that get me hype to write. I think number one out of them though, would be trials and tribulations in my day to day life. I write about the things presented to me, usually either the way I've reacted to those particular things or the things I thought about when those things came to be.

Number two would be my past, introspect on drug use, baby momma shit or just relationships in general, I've dabbled in satanism and difficlt occult views so I talk a lot about my demons on a more personal note than most people really understand.

Also, any ill beats I hear, or new songs. For instance, wheen I heard pusha t's "only you can tell it" track from his kaine album.. I was like holy shit man, and I just knew I had to play that track on repeat and go in as deep as I could at the time. My OM titled only you can tell it -the enomix was a product of that track.

Asside from thosee more obvious and probably widely relateable reasons.. I also like to try and lite a fire up under these dormant writers who I know have beenlingering around here on idle mode. My feeling is that, if gen can drop enough shit with some deep or just raw content in it 5han I will be able to inspire others to want to go in off of my threads. I can't even tell you how many people have pm'd me and told me how much they look up to my pieces, or what an inspiration my work is to them. So just knowing that is one of my biggest inspirations alone. Geno hears y'all, and as long as there are readers and people who get touched by my work -then I will continue to drop. I may drift away from time to time, but ill be here to spark that flame when its needed again. Holla, 1.

ZeeDee says....

Just life... i'ts a creative journey to either escape reality or face it head on within the words....

Cereal_Killa says....

Hey, Life dude.. the dark and the light parts..
Say the horrible things on the news - Something that would be considered a miracle in my personal life..

Most times i write to flush out my thoughts, i joined up to this league because my head was cluttered.. After a week without writing i develop fucked up insomnia.. That week i joined it got so bad that i woke up in hysteria due to over powering nightmares..

So to keep sane.. i write, but essentially i am inspired by the sickness and the love of living..

Just Write says....

what inspired me to write was the ability to write things i could never speak in words. ive been through a lot and Im not good at expressing myself so i found that writing was a perfect outlet. when i came home from overseas i hard a hard time adjusting and went to therapy and pretty much writing was the only way i communicated with my therapist. and now i find not only can i let out emotions but also that inner creativity we all have in us, thats why im glad for this league. it has helped me improve each week. thanks for all the work you guys do to make this happen. i know nobodys getting paid for this shit so cherrs and mad respect.

Aesthetic says....

This present moment, the thought, the instantaneous heartbeat we conceptualize with meaning. The waking idea that can destroy gods and create devils, I love this shit man; nothing is more inspiring then creation.

Pohfig says....

Rhymes and absurd dreams

nO goOd! says....

eal life man. I find that when my life have the ups and downs, emotion triggers my best work. Then I could be chillin and feet up with a glass of rye and coke, and start piecing stuff together and it just starts flowing. Some times I'll be sorta freestyling and I'll find this crazy ass multi that rhymes a million different ways, and it will spark an idea for a song. Im a total songwriter, whereas most of my writing stems from that side of things. I love the piano (which I really want to learn) so I like it in my beats. Im still perfecting my craft so I find that changing my outlet for music rounds me out so to speak. Or a verse in a song. Or a book. Im reading alot on the technical side of poetry, lately. I like a lot of different topics too. so the diversity of writing for the AWOL is a huge bonus. I've wrote a fair number of tracks for topical leagues which I'm super thankful for.

IAmBenT says....

I'm inspired to write by everyday things. Little events that go down, stories that kids tell me at work as a teacher, and just my own life and pain, the struggles I've been through and am currently going through. It's crazy, my sister is getting her memoir published this year, and I'm not exactly jealous but I know I can't get their too if I dig deep and get it in, so that's another inspiration for me. Also, seeing legendary and super talented cats in this league like Zy, RedGlare, Vulgar, Topical, CerealKiller, Pohfig, I mean these are topical legends and guys who drop hot fire on a weekly basis. How could you not get inspired and want to write something that can hang with what they write? Also I feel that every good writer just has alot of shit to say. I like this league because we have the forced topic, and so I will go research, and then find like 100 other strands or potentials for great verses, plays, stories, etc.! It really forces you to stretch and dig deep, which, as much as I tend to bitch about it, is really a great thing.

Umm other inspirations? Sexy ladies. Nature. Culture. Rap Music. That about rounds it out my man!

OPEN MIC FEATURE PRESENTATION #4

"Satan Amidst The Masses"
written by Genocide & Buddha

Buddha..
Fuck a president, I'm heaven sent, It's evident that I'm Czar of the people,
Once lethargic and peaceful now I'm bizarre and evil,
Armed and lethal to start upheavels that rock the foundations
That rip apart the steeples that sit atop the nations,
I begged God for patience but he blocked relations
So I'm positive I'm Satan amidst the masses
Pissed and savage, A born leader with horned features
That can go tick for tack with you bitch ass faggots,
I'm equipped with ***hes of hollow tips, an addict
On a trip of madness to corrupt the youth,
Screaming fuck the rules, you punk ass fools
Don't get a bloodbath, Shit I'm fillin up some pools

Geno..
Buckets and cups of ooze on the surface of floors, perfectly poured
Merciless force, im swingin blades like a trapeze, circus of swords
The servants of war ain't surrendering shit, we're better equipped
To rip your eyes out, and restore your contacts like a memory chip
I'm on a ketameanz binge, seringe, with methanphetamine hits
A trip, that changes my perception of the world into a seventies twist
Isometrically gripped, the pounds per square inch in my hands amaze
My fingerprints were chemically stripped so the fuckers can't be traced
Erased, its like I never existed in this world in the first place, a legend
Or maybe I'm stuck on an acid trip, wasted, nd can't escape the venom
Suffering from this case of vengeance, sentenced, and ill never be free
That's why I'm splitting heads with lead, on a john f kennedy spree

Week 11 Predictions

AOWL UPSET OF THE WEEK!!!
AOWL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: zygote (8-1) VS. IAmBenT (6-1)

All kings eventually fall. It may seem like they don't, but when they do, it always is a wonder. zygote beat Frank for the championship a few weeks ago, and since has defended it successfully 2x's. This week he is up against IAmBenT, who has been really impressive during this 5 match win streak he has built up, and now, he has a chance to take down the champ. This match up is soo good that I'm getting excited typing up this fine prediction. :) zygote is also on a 5 match win streak, so one of these guys will have to get back to the drawing board after this one. zy survived the 100 line rampage of RG last week. Even his match with Frank was a nailbiter. IAmBenT has put together about 3 very, very superb pieces this season & I wonder can zygote survive another epic battle? This is what I call my upset pick. zygote will drop another fast, but very well written verse this week as usual. But this is picture week. Those 3 epic stories that BenT has written this season were done to typical quotes and this week it's an image- I can only imagine the level of writing & storytelling that he will bring. Yeah, I can imagine. That's why I'm picking him. PREDICTION: IAmBenT, 11-8.

AOWL #1 CONTENDERS MATCH: Vulgar (3-0) VS. ZeeDee (4-2)

This match up is pretty enticing. Could be BOTW & could throw a VOTW as well. Vulgar has stepped into the league & immediately made his presence known, crusing to 3 straight wins to start off & is now in a contenders match, where he can compete for a title shot with a win. ZeeDee on the other hand has quietly snuck up with a lot of key losses from other competitors & now has an opportunity to get a major win & even compete in the title match. But only one of these guys can get there. Both have dropped some impressive pieces this season though ZeeDee really hasn't had too many (I believe 3 or 4 of his match ups have been no show cases), so it will be interesting to see what he can put together. I feel this can be pretty even though, Vulgar, I feel, can drop a better story if both choose to go that route. In any case, this one will be close. Vulgar always seems to manage to throw together solid writtens no matter the topic. ZeeDee, from the few I've read from him can really come up with some great reads that are very in-depth & detailed. The last time I recall him dropping a conceptual up against a story, he lost, and I see Vulgar going the sotry route here against a very strong conceptual piece- or will ZeeDee do the opposite? Close call. PREDICTION: Vulgar, 7-5.

AOWL's BATTLE OF THE WEEK!!!
AOWL Spotlight Match #1: Frank (6-2) VS. dead man (2-2)

They say be careful what you wish for- and this is one of those things. Frank makes his way back into the league after a slight hiatus after being the champion for so long, and he calls out dead man to a battle which makes this the #1 spotlight match of the week. dead man hasn't been in the league for a long time, and a lot has occurred during that period. Nonetheless he has dropped a few pieces in the Open Mic section, so being rusty is out of question. This should be epic. It seems Frank is very motivated for this match & we all know what Black is capable of doing. This should be the undisputed BOTW. So who I got? It's picture week. Let me rewind: last time I read a Black verse to a picture was against Nigma, I believe week 2?, and he was able to put together one of the best pieces of the year IMO. Who knows what Frank has here due to that slight break, but he is capable of dropping just as insane verse as dead. Frank has pretty much wrapped up a spot in the playoffs, barring some epic collapse, dead man however will need another two wins to slide in with 2 weeks left after this one. Which means I'm certain he will bring it. Frank will too- but I can't picture a playoffs without the legend Black participating in it. PREDICTION: dead man, 9-7.

AOWL Spotlight Match #2: TopicalDood5 (4-1) VS. Red glare (6-3)

Two extremely talented writers get ready to throwdown in what should be one hellauva match up. TD5 just suffered his first loss of the season last week against Vulgar & will look to rebound here. Red glare is coming off a close championship bout loss to zygote, which marked the second time this season he has lost the title match. Nonetheless we have two competitors here who are looking to get back to their winning ways with the playoffs nearing & divisional crowns on the line. Both of these guys have dished out some of the better verses these past couple weeks but how about RG- who has shown the ability to bring some of the most intriguing, well written pieces given in the league this season. Be careful- he may do 100 lines on you if you're not too careful. TD5 should match up fairly well against him so who really has an edge here? A loss by TD5 won't be too damaging, because we would remain atop the Yellow division even if pohfig happens to win this week. RG on the other hand, this match is crucial in positioning yourself. With that said, I can see this being one of the more difficult battles to vote on, it will bounce back and forth, but at the end, I'm gambling on the guy that has dropped top tier verses like it's nothing of late. PREDICTION: Red glare, 10-7.

AOWL Spotlight Match #3: Cereal_Killa (3-1) VS. pohfig (5-3)

The winner of this spotlight match will earn a #1 contenders match- and a chance to compete for the title in a special 13th week. Playoff positioning is another key as well. Cereal_Killa has been pretty steady this season, but drops some of the best written stories in the league. He really has a chance to make some noise if he manages to beat pohfig, who is coming off that 10-0 stomping of DeadLion last week. poh went through a slight slump before that win but looks like he is regaining that form he had earlier this season. He no longer is in control of the Yellow division, but can definitely come back starting with a win here (and if TopicalDood5 wins then expect a critical contender match up next week). We may just see the VOTW spill from this match and maybe even BOTW. Hard to pick a winner. Interested in seeing poh's approach. I get the feeling CK will be bringing another solid, all around story. Advantage goes to poh- CK is one of my favorites but I see poh putting together a slightly better written to edge it out. Could go either way. PREDICTION: pohfig, 9-7.

SLEEPER MATCH OF THE WEEK!!!
Nigma (5-3) VS. c.d.m. (3-7)

Boy does this match up have BOTW potential. Don't sleep. While c.d.m. doesn't have the best of records (3-7)- don't be fooled. This guy could easily be 5-5 or 6-4, if a few of those close match ups had swung his way. Not only that, he has participated in every week this season & his writing has been pretty solid all season. Nigma is his opponent & he is looking to leap up some spots in the Titanium conference playoff seeding. Which makes makes this match up so important. He already has a lock on the division (since I am no longer competing) & has a chance to be the #1 seed. As competitive as this season has been, this one won't be easy. Nigma is one of those underrated writers lurking under the rader and this will be one of his biggest challenges. The Mind Assassin can play spoiler as this season ends. Okay.... check one for V. PREDICTION: c.d.m., 8-5.

DeadLion (0-1) VS. nO goOd! (0-2)

This is an interesting match up of two competitors who are seeking their first win of the season, which is nearing it's end. DeadLion made his debut last week & suffered a huge loss while nO goOd! wasn't able to top his crewmate. We haven't really seen D-Lion full potential & hopefully that will be the case here. nO goOd! is a full fledged veteran so this match will not be easy to take. Who is getting their first victory this season? I'm anxious to see D-Lion and what he is able to put together. But let's be real, nO goOd! is a very good writer, and maybe we haven't seen him at his peak, but don't sleep on him. At the end of this, I expect to see a dead lion. Like... literally. PREDICTION: nO goOd!, 9-2.

Mike Wrecka (5-5) VS. Objective (3-3)

While this may not be a spotlight match, there are many implications at hand for both of these competitors. Mike Wrecka has lost 2 straight match ups & is looking to get back on the winning side of things. Objective is coming fresh off that win over Vator so now we have a key divisional match up on our hands. If Wrecka happens to pull this one off, he more than likely will seal the deal, barring any freakish thing happening between now & week 13. If Objective wins, it will mark the first time that someone else other than Wrecka (and Geno during his brief stint) has been at the top of the Green division standings. On top of that, he will control his destiny from there. A win comes first tho'. Who I got taking this? Very even match up & one which seems to favor Mike. I guess the AOWL savior thing wasn't working out so now he's a villan. And a villanous Wrecka is a dangerous Wrecka. Quote me on that too. PREDICTION: Mike Wrecka, 8-5.

Week 11 Predictions (CONTINUED)

Buddha (6-4) VS. Just Write (1-2)

Let's flashback to week #9, when the Zenmaster trumped Just Write, 7-2. Now let's fast forward 2 weeks later, to present day, where these two face off once again. Is there anything on the line? Not exactly, but with the playoffs nearing, the winner here can set themselves up more than likely. Buddha is 4-1 in his last 5 match ups, though 2 of the wins were thru no show/forfeit. JW is coming off his first win of the season last week over nO goOd!, so a win here will be a huge boost. So which guy gets it? Zenny has participated in every week of the season, and has steadily improved with each passing week. I don't know how motivated JW is to not only to attempt to make the playoffs, but to gain revenge for the last match. This will be closer than last time, but I see Buddha riding that momentum all the way to the first round of the playoffs. PREDICTION: Buddha, 7-4.

Def_fuckin_5 (0-0) VS. Knucklehead (1-0)

This was a last minute battle set up, which prevented the leagues first ever triple threat match from happening. Knuckles slid in at the last moment to challenge Def5, and here we are. Both of these guys are battlers & I've never read any form of topicals from either. But wait!- Def mentioned that he used to write topicals some time ago. I'm sure the Geico Cavemen were around to witness that too. When it comes down to it, this match will come down to who can put together a solid piece of writing. I doubt this match will bring any top tier verses, tho' if Def manages to rekindle that touch from the past to now, he will have the upper hand. Sorry, but Sonic was always better than Knuckles. PREDICTION: Def_fuckin_5, 5-3.

Aesthetic (0-3) VS. Utmost (0-0)

Utmost makes his debut in the AOWL as the season is coming to a close, but maybe this will be a little glimpse of what he may bring to the table for the next season. On the other side of things is Aesthetic, still looking for that first win & what better time to put everything together to get it done. While his stories haven't really been up to par, he has been a constant face in the discussion board, inciting riots & throwing up his masonic hand signs (I see you man!). Seriously, will this be the first win of the season for Aes? Playoff hopes are very dim, but who says you can't ruin someone elses chances? Utmost is a solid battler, but I'm feeling an Aes victory is at hand. PREDICTION: Aesthetic, 6-1.

A Word With The King.... "nO goOd! Discussion".

KING KEITH: First things first. Introduce yourself to the readers, yo.

NO GOOD!: Whats up Keith, its me the one and only nO gOoD! aka DoveDozer
conscious storytelling emcee.. yeah...

KING KEITH: But what happens if you're unconscious? What then? Where'd the DoveDozer nickname come from?

NO GOOD!: I still drop bars in my sleep.. forever spittin...
DoveDozer came from nick name my mom gave me.. and it just stuck with rapping yo.. keepin it real.

KING KEITH: Mom's are a delight, ain't they? What's up with this new group you got going? Soldiers Only. You & Just Write. Explain.

NO GOOD!: I was considering a crew prior to forming Soldiers Only, and given the background of Just Write and myself it seemed a perfect fit. We flow similar and we have many common areas of ground. We THAT crew to look out for.

Mad respect for my homie Just Write.

....... and yeah moms rock.

KING KEITH: Seriously though man, I didn't realize you both were in a crew until after matches were set up. Lol. Y'all got the first battle open for votes. How you feeling about your topic this week? Easy? Difficult?

NO GOOD!: honestly, Im somewhat exhausted with the topic. I've done battle/war based topics so often Im verbally drained on them, but yet I can still find a way to express myself in that topical content, so its all good.. anything that keeps the pen moving is a good thing to me. Easy or difficult, Id say rather easy given my 10 years and still serving. Hoorah!

KING KEITH: Hoorah, soldier! You haven't been around much in the league competitively, but from what you have witnessed & experience thus far, what is your take on the league & the competition within it?

NO GOOD!: Bro, Im really impressed with the league. I had my run in with the trolls here and the faggotry that exists, but after bailing twice in the same week, I was reeled back in. exceptional competition here in the league, I recognize a few heads from the other site I've been on for 12 years (CK, pohfig, patrown, Bent, Ink and others) and I was immediately intrigued. I thought I'd rear my ugly mug here and my first battle was a real eye opener against Witty who little beknownst to me has champed a shit tonne of leagues and topical battles. He really wet my combat boots so to speak. Plus I've always been a firm believer that when you are amongst the calibre of writers that are here, you are forced to really take your time and up your pen game.

KING KEITH: No doubt about that man. The talent here is very exceptional. Speaking of which, if you were ranking the top 3 best writers in the league, who would they be & why?

NO GOOD!: oooh man.. .thats really tough because the comptetions is so stiff (insert fag joke here). I'd say from what I wrote I'll go with these three..

Witty - He really broke me into the league. He's got a real poetic flow, eloquent with words and his schemes are retarded. Very talented dude.

Cereal_Killer - Me and CK go way back at RM.com hes got a vocabulary larger than a websters dictionary this kid. and he got away from the retarded long bars. He is a serious force to be wreckoned with that is for certain.

the last one could be sooo many dudes here I mean BenT has dropped some real sick work, along with pohfig, sht man.. top three is tough.. I'll have to say i'll take IamBenT for the 3rd Im sure to ruffle a few feathers on this but everyone here is pretty sick with it to be honest, which is why Im so compelled to write for the AWOL. upping the pen game is always a good thing, flow like water bruh.

KING KEITH: The playoffs are around the corner. A lot of this weeks matches are critical. What match ups intrigue you this week & what are some of your predictions?

NO GOOD!: zygote VS. IAmBenT absolutely a great matchup here and id have to say this is my most anticipated match for obvious reasons. Champ match between two very fucking ill text dudes. Zygote got the vocab of a websters dictionary and bent got the multies for days. Im very much looking forward to checkin this one out. I got bent winning this
Cereal_Killa VS. pohfig - this here is another match that could easily be a champ match both of these cats are so dope its gonna be so good to read this battle and its very hard to say who will win this. Ck can pull it off, but hes gotta go for blood cause pohfig has dropped gems in every battle. Pohfig will win if ck is off his game..
Mike Wrecka VS. Objective - i havent seen objective much so based of what ive seen MW will take this imo.
Buddha VS just write - of course im rootin for my homie JW on this. But honestly this could do either way forreal. Both of these guys are really talented so its gonna be a match to check out for sure!

KING KEITH: Dope man. How are you feeling about your match up this week against DeadLion?

NO GOOD!: Honestly I dont know, I've never seen DeadLions work. So it could go either way. I'm a little hit and miss myself lately with some heavy shit goin on in real life, so anyone can take a win. Its the joys of writing in a league. The competition is great and I like the mutual respect us writers give eachother. This league is a great place to be.[

KING KEITH: Do you think zygote will close out the season as champion?

NO GOOD!: that would depend on how many matches to go yet. Cause bro, you know there is some serious talent lurkin.. zy could pull it off, but he better have his pen game correct.

KING KEITH: 2 weeks left man. The world may never know. :) Yo, this marks the end of our discussion. Thanks for the time & patience. You know, I held off the mag for so long because I definitely wanted an interview in it even tho' people were getting edgy. It wouldn't be the same or right leavin' ya hanging homie. With that said, any final thoughts, shout outs that you'd like to throw out there?

NO GOOD!: Yeah man.. its my pleasure to shoot the breeze..

keep the inspiration for your talent to everyone in the league, keep the ink flowing.

peep the sig.

holler.

Well folks, this marks the end of the SUPER DUPER TRIFECTA magazine that you all have been waiting for. I know y'all will enjoy this. Things will get back to normal as things have settled since the transition. There is a lot to look forward to as we head into the playoffs soon. Again, I thank you all for your participation & patience, making this league what it is today. Until next time, it's the King signing out. Holler.

holy goodness Keith!

What a stupendous mag. can't wait to go back and bump the tunes and read some of the verses I preliminarily skipped

I LOVED the question part and getting some insight into some of yall lunatics who write for this league. Holy crap CK damn homie i didn't know it was like that!

love the recognition "Valentine's Day" received, it was alot of work but well worth it and Im glad to know you are setting up forums to save some of our stuff! That will be awesome to check out a few years down the line.

well its time to vote. Again great work, lets get it!

IamBenT :)

hey man king trolled u in the "writers voice"

It says you know you cant do it, if you dig deep in yourself and try to get a book published like your sister :P

Yeh i was lucky to last one cycle of REM before waking up from grinding my teeth and screaming, that week b4 i dropped that first cannibal verse..

its funny, around me its common knowledge i say and do crazy shit in my sleep.. Sort of an ongoing joke..

MAN BTW..

iambent vs zygote BOTW.. easy, massive match up right there..

king man, you seriously wrote this mag like a boss.. and adon, no good erry body you got to help on this.. it truly was beautiful..

:)

King says, "what inspires you to write"??

Adonis says""

I write because I have this inner urge to be the best @ everything I do, although I've never been the best @ one thing beside soccer growing up. Anyways, when I first wrote and for the first literally, ten years I wasn't that good at all, progressively getting better and simply honing my skills. Now I'm glad how far I came, and I write to one day win a title in a competitive league.

After I win one, not sure where my motivation will come from, but I do know its probably time for me to hang it up, 14 years or so in is a long time. Also I would like to write a album sooner then later, then basically get into ghost writing for whoever would have me as far as well known mainstream artists.

Cheers bitches

Finally got to read the mag in its entirety. Definately one of the dopest mags I've read and King Keith deserves all the praise for writing this thing and going in depth on the tournament itself. Enjoyed to read the different answers to what inspires each individual writer and getting to know them abit more. No Good's audio was a cool asset and a great way to start off the mag as well. Props to King Keith and everyone in the league keeping it fresh. Pz.
