Anti-austerity demo turns violent in Rome

In the Italian capital Rome, thousands of people have marched in protest against the EU policies of austerity and those of their own leftist government. The protesters called for better work conditions, affordable housing, and improved conditions for refugees. The demonstration turned violent at some points.
