explore other mediums of art, talk to interesting people, be an interesting person. if you don't know how to be interesting, go for a walk and don't look down.

contrary to popular belief, I've found that listening to music does not help writer's block in the least.

i agree with oats to an extent...listening to instrumentals can help...reading helps...any other form of abstract thought helps to a degree..

the only time ive found music w lyrics to aid in writers block...was battle wise...and i was listening to strictly diss tracks.

Writers block is a fancy way of saying you can't think of shit.

It'll be over when you start thinking of shit again.

Dear malachi

Do u have a set list of pre made threads that u cycle thru posting on sum.sort of continual basis?

Why r u doing this to me?

U made this thread 7months ago

Then u asked us if u should read the dictionary......

I have a new thread idea for u

agreed@Rawn, if you're stuck with a battle verse, listening to diss tracks can give you ideas.

Other than that, I'd say lyrics are more distracting than anything else when you're trying to actually write. Physical movement is most important, improves brain function in general and walking usually provides the spatial backdrop to more imaginative thinking.

reading the dictionary is stupid. Just read an actual book and you'll learn more words, and in a more meaningful, effective way.

tbh i dont really get writers block anymore. i used to when i first started writing now not so much. when you write enough you will be able to write no matter what. so it goes from being writers block to not having nothing creative to say lol

Meet writer's block head on until it cracks. Then use the remains to create some sort of garden decorations for a future piece.

Every time you have writers block, write a diss or a topical about writers block.

It's the topic on your mind, after all.

Even when you have nothing to say - you have something to say about having nothing to say, until you can say something more.
