Is the "conspiracy theory" theory setting the stage for the end of America?

With all the things going on in the world, who would think an honest writer would point out the idea that the vast differences in mindsets, beliefs and convictions within Americans is in itself a "clear and present danger." I remember growing up and being taught that the very thing that made America special is that everyone is different.
