Depends what I'm going to write. I often put on a instrumental or a few tracks on repeat to get in the right mood for the specific text I'm trying to write. Sometimes silence works best as well. Depends on the situation, hah.

I usually jog 1 to 3 miles to get the brain stress noise out...then drop in silence...to each their own.

it varies with everything I write.. sometimes it'll be a sick beat that inspires me to write something.. or sometimes a certain rhyming word pops in my head, so it'll start a sequence of rhyming patterns I'll flex on, but honestly.. it changes so often. Sometimes a dope beat, or sometimes silence.

I did write boked once to sharps classical music suggestions, it was great

but usually just anything instrumental. trip hop, jazz, or classical for the most part
