Check Ins are due FRIDAY, July 25th 2014
Voting ends MONDAY July 28th 2014 11:59 PM PST.
Battles that lack votes may close later.
One sided battles may get closed early.
Extensions are 24 hours
You will be GRANTED ONE EXTENSION throughout the Tourney. Any extension beyond the first will result in loss of votes.


Line Limit:

Min. = 12 lines
Max. = 24 lines
Limit MUST be agreed upon


General Rules:

1st person to post can't edit after the 2nd person posts.
2nd person to post can't edit after a vote has been made.
Feeding = DQ.
Recycling = DQ.
Biting = DQ.
No freeposting, swaying or bitching.
Unless a picture battle is agreed upon,
linking to your opponent's picture or posting it
means you will be disqualified.
A check in IS mandatory.
Competitors should agree on a line limit in their check in.
If no line limit is agreed on, then the 2nd person to post

Both lacked content and sacrificed it for multi syllable schemes. Content > metaphors > concepts > rhyme schemes and multis. Both kind of had the same flow and schemes. Alvin had better concepts albeit simple was enough to take it here.

Camp Bell you had a good flow in the first half even though it was a bit predictable. After the Saturn line the verse seemed to go downhill from there. There wasn't much creativity here either which is something I'd expect from an S&F verse. I've seen much better from you.

Alvin Karpis you're verse had much better concepts. The Lebron line could've been much better if it was reworded somehow, but the boot camp bar was great I thought. Line of the battle imo. This was cool.

Camp Bell: I liked the Kentucky opener a lot, as it was kept subtle enough that it worked even if someone missed the connections. The fast food line also was good, and the Saturn line could have worked had "rings" rhymed with "space." But your verse never connected. This is a swag-and-flow battle, so it really shouldn't feel like couplets strung together. You never had real swagger here and never picked up momentum.

Alvin Karpis: This is a huge step up from last round. Your punchlines are sharp, and you kept the rhymes coming in droves. It also had a smoother cadence than last round. I was impressed here. Almost every line had something worth noticing. If anything, you could probably tone down the creativity in favor of a little more swagger. This verse was on the level required if you want to compete with Neighbor (or is this the championship now?).
