I'm just surprised you feel so strongly about people listening to white people music, Sharp.

Sharp
07-13-2013, 02:09 PM
I'm always happy when someone finds any kind of music they can fully enjoy and relate to, be it Verdi, Ellington, Hendrix, or even ukulele covers of disney songs

but clapping on 1 and 3 is just a universal shit on music that transcends race and culture

Cashius
07-13-2013, 02:13 PM
Ok. I only listen when it's on. I don't clap. So I guess we're ok.

Fig

What does this mean?

veritas
07-13-2013, 07:36 PM
being off rhytmn....but hip hop is made in 13ths anyway....which makes it technically not even music. just saying.

what's even awesomer is the fact that white people would be clapping at 1 and 3, but most wouldn't have an effing clue what you mean by saying that they're clapping at 1 and 3 lol

and it is a great jam danny boy, you fucking troll lol

It's not off rhythm tbc. Not feeling giving a music lesson right now tho lol. Curious as to what you mean by 13ths

Elitism is one thing. I could break down and critique this on an atomic level, but I don't cause no one, including myself, wants to go thru that.

Clapping on 1 and 3 is just something anyone can hate without necessarily even recognizing it for what it is, and this song is a trap for it

RESEARCH SHARP...RESEARCH. HIP HOP IS ON THE SAME SCALES AS DEATH METAL. COMPARE THAT TO CLASSICAL MUSIC...YOU WILL SEEEE

THE ILLUMINATI CUZ.

Sharp
07-14-2013, 12:25 PM
But the same scales get used all the time... Music hasn't really changed bud, just the people playing it

lol at superstar genius this song is just a 1/3 trap. go listen to some alternatve/country/folk and make more threads about how they're perfect albums because everyone here cares

Rap is not music.

Sharp
07-14-2013, 12:41 PM
I see the argument there, but some rap especially is definitely musical

In so few words, rap is just drum core music. Mostly or all rhythms with fundamental patterns and techniques that are expanded and embellished on for effect. Only in rap, it's a voice rather than a drum
