The other day actually, I was watching the famous coach speech from the first Espy's. dude had cancer and he died like 2 weeks later.
he stated that a man should both laugh and cry every day, to learn to control his emotions and to also truly experience life.
would you like me to tell you my emotions after witnessing your future from the dream realm?

I powered through the last season on Netflix yesterday. Then watched 'Out of the Furnace' with Bale, Casey Affleck, Woody Harrelson, Willem Dafoe, and Forest Whitaker.
It was alright. Thought it'd be better. Some good scenes.

Wtf
Sounds like a powerhouse cast?

Yeah the acting was top tier, no doubt. I'd recommend it just for that. I just thought some characters needed more screen time, especially Harrelson, and it seemed a little rushed. It's 2 hours long but it should've been longer, imo. Plus it's plot is kind of predictable. Still good though

Last time waa a few weeks ago about some shit I won't even go in to...I don't do it a lot, not that there's any shame in crying I just don't think it's practical, doesn't change shit.
It can be healthy tho, letting it all out, it's good for your mental health.

In all seriousness that's the closest I've been in a while. Me & my girl were watching an American version of this show about a Basketball owner/CEO. I forget who right now, but he done some amazing things. On occasions like that, when people who have nothing act the greatest, well, it resonates with everyone.

Bros, every once in a while I force myself to cry. I make myself focus on something and connect strong personal feelings to it in order to force a strong emotional response.
I force myself to be so strong, that I have to balance it and a 3 second cry is the answer. It works, trust.
Well I'm off to go staple my dick to my stomach and do a moonsalt.
i know bags hate me but this thread a good thread.
last time i cried was when my older bro died. not the funeral, but when i was first told cause i ain't know how to take it. first person i was close to that died

Depends. I'm the type that hates watching others cry though, like really cry. It makes my stomach tight every time. Especially older adults. When my grandmother died, my dad stood over her and said "go to dad, Ma, go find dad" and started sobbing and that was probly the most heartbreaking thing I've ever seen--- not just how sad it was watching my grandmother go but seein my dad break down like that. It was the first time I saw this tough Italian guy as a young boy who just lost his mom
Last time I cried was when dull boy dropped a pallet of 50 40lb bags on me.

yes at the right times it can be good for your mental health.
mine was early Feb, 'bout some shit i also won't even go into. was a weight off my shoulders cuz i didn't seem to have the ability to cry for a long time.
Mobb Deep, prison gangs, etc...they all talk 'bout bein' heartless... how sometimes bein heartless is a necessity for the streets, or even a conscious lifestyle choice.
but hey, sometime's we're just human. and you're right there's no shame in it.. unless the circumstances are petty and the reaction is overblown. that's when the impracticality becomes quite evident.
in general? gotta live in the moment and let go of guilt from the past.
love you all.
edit*, but of course, aspects of it somehow became interesting writing material eventually.
