You obviously don't know me, or been in the tourneys I've been in prior to that comment. In the ISTL back on the old NC I was no-showed 3 or 4 times, didn't complain, same thing goes for most other tourneys I've been in. I want people to show. I got no-showed 3 times in the SnF tourney, I wanted dude to show in the semi-finals allthough it was long overdue. But people check in, the rules are different. So yeah, I do get abit pissed when people suddenly decide to show at the last minute.

I basicly never complain about shit at all regarding tourneys/people etc. and I don't think there's been a time where I've said no to an extention. But this is a shoot-out tournament, it's summertime and I actually got shit to do beside of this forum, also got other writing projects going on as well. But I wanted to give this tourney a shot while doing other things as well. Since you didn't sign in or anything I focused on my battle with Storyteller instead and forgot about this. You can't possibly say that it isn't a cheap shot to NOT check into your battle or at least give me a heads up that you're going to show, only to send 14 lines right before deadline and after I've posted a no-show verse. You could have at least given me a heads up when you started writing, but nah, nothing at all. You're a certified faggot for the time being.

I apologize if I come across as grumpy, but truth be told you always check into your battle, that's how it works, that's how it always has been so people don't have to spend an hour or two on bullshit. The fuck you think check-ins are for and enforced in 95% of the tourneys that's ever been held?

When it comes to battling anyone, with all the material people have on me, I'd have to spend a decent ammount of time on it to stand a chance and make sure that I had NO fillers what so ever. Idk about you, but I got no-showed 4 times in a row in a tournament once. When I write I usually spend a lot of time on my shit or try out different stuff. When opponents don't show it's a waste of time and posting it up in the OM isn't the same as it can't be judged in the same way or compared, I'm just tired of that shit happening in the past. When people check in there's a higher chance they'll actually show and Ill Nika was throwing a hissy fit cuz of the votes last round and were talking about how demotivated he was etc. which gave me less reason to write.

When people check in I know they've seen the thread etc. so I write. Understand that I also got other writing projects going, I need to improve there as well. The tournaments/forums is just there to keep some sort of variation in the writing for me, but I aint going to waste time on something that might get slept on etc. That holds absolutely no value to me whatsoever.

So yeah, it do sucks when people don't sign in and it's a part of the fucking rules. That shit annoys the fuck out of me. If you've written some shit you've clearly seen the thread, so yeah, I do think it's a bitchmove and lack of respect to not check into your thread. But it's not like I'm going to hate on dudes for not doing it, I'll just not write and they'll get ''no-showed'' in turn.

If writing in a tournament/forums is all writing holds for you, I understand your claims, but it doesn't for me, so when someone don't check in or show in one way or the other that they'll show I spend my time elsewhere.

Wtf, I never said Nik was a bitch? I got respect for dude, he's a great writer. I think it's a bitchmove, yeah, but it's not like he's the only one doing it and no-one is enforcing the check in so it would be wrong of me to hold grudges against people. But I do think the check in should be enforced, not in this tournament and right now, but in the future. Laziness? Perhaps.

I don't care about wins/losses, I care about the challenge and feedback. My experiences with that is that shit gets closed most of the time if people don't show and that's it, and more so if people don't check in. It doesn't do enough for me.

I can understand why this might not go well with most of y'all, but if you want me to show or be sure that I'll write, you should check in as well. That is all.
