View Full Version : Couple of suggestions from a Newb

I'm new to this site, but in the last couple of hours I thought of a couple of suggestions.

1) Make posts that are considered rhymes or battles listed at the top (or different section) when you view posts on a user's profile. It'd make it easier to see the skill levels and rhyme posts of a user, if you wanted to find out. (like when I searched evil bib baby, all I saw was flame and spam... and I really wanted to see an actual thought out & skilled post by him).

2) Make a "like" and "dislike" button available on every post, separate from the "add to reputation" button. This would be nice. One example is I had already added positive to evil big baby's rep based on a funny post he made in the flaming me themuzzl3 topic... but later on, I wished I could add at least one negative and retract the positive... for reasons I won't go into. Either way, I think this would be a good idea for users to make a post and see that others either thumbs'd up or thumbs'd down that particular post.

My man battles are limited to the BA and other league tournament forums

You need only search for the users post in those forums in the advanced search

And like/dislike doesn't really fly here. If a post is really worth a cosign you can quote it and say so

Disc. and OM/BA/Tournaments etc. (anything related to actual writing) is two completely different things. Some people just stay a little bit away from disc. and post rhymes etc. elsewhere. You've gotten a lot of heat over here, damn.

That said, I don't think any changes should be made though. The forum is nice as it is.

You also can type "Salute" when you add rep to a user.

first part: click search > advanced search > search by user name > select sub forums for battles/tourneys/open mics > results as threads

second part: rep system is basically same thing. if a post sucks > neg user. but if they are reputable and you are nega lulz terrible boarder with red rep (like you) it has no effect aka scrubs cannot damage the gods. (how it should be)
