Friday night.
Louis C.K.
Sarah Silverman
Jim Gaffigan
Chris Hardwick
Demetri Martin
Marc Maron
Moshe Kasher
Whitney Cummings
Brody Stevens
DJ Trauma
Hannibal Buress was scheduled to be there when I bought my tickets, but it looks like he's not on the lineup anymore. Kinda super pissed about that. But otherwise, I'm excited to see so many big name comedians in one place.
gaffigan my favorite on that list but looks dope

Sounds dope. Always wanted to go to a comedy show
Have you never been to one?? Man, I used to go to shows all the time when I lived in New York. Saw Kat Williams in some random little room on the upper west side. He had only been in Next Friday at the time, so I only knew him as Money Mike haha. But he came in and was just like "Hey, can I do some time?" and the club owner let him do a half hour. Was dope as shit.
Then one time some asshole sold me tickets to a show guaranteeing that Charlie Murphy would be there. And I went. And no Charlie Murphy. I think Diode came to that show with me actually. All I remember is some puerto rican chick bombing and saying that she didn't know her geography, and her punchline was that puerto rico was "circa de canada," and no one laughed and then she immediately was like "hey come on guys, stand up is hard."
But yeah, I'm excited to see this show. I live next to two pretty big stand up venues, and I've been trying to go more frequently lately. I saw Moshe like two months ago, and he was hands down the best live comic I've seen, so I'm excited to see him again. And Diode, My ideal lineup would would have Funches on it. Bill Burr too. Obviously Hannibal. Michael Che. Nate Bargatze. Shit, Jerrod Carmichael. And Reggie Watts would be dope. God damnit, I just wish they would all do every show instead of doing a rotating 10 at each location.

I know, but I just can't take him. It's like saying ProFootballTalk is the best place to get quick NFL news, but I never want to see Mike Florio again.

i will admit i hated him for a long time.. but @midnight has turned my mind pretty far in his favor. either he has great writers, or his camera presence has improved 20-fold due to all of his experience hosting the talking ____ type shows. he actually comes off as endearing and genuine rather than smarmy and annoying (most of the time).

I enjoy Chris Hardwick on @midnight. I enjoy the nerdist podcast from time to time. But as a stand up, he's just okay to me.

agreed
same is true with bunches of funches, sadly. didn't enjoy most of his standup but he kills in social / comedy sketch situations.

i'm torn between jim jeffries and bill burr
jus saw jim live a couple days ago. literally did not stop laughing from start to finish. his set was about an hour & 40 and he was drinking the whole time lmao. seemed like he didnt even want to get off the stage & afterward he hung out with people at the bar. he ended it with a joke about brad pitt's reaction to jolie's mastectomy, which netflix didnt allow on the special lol. fav comedian for sure
oh & this event looks dope

Super super super dope show. Weird part was that the front half seemed to be funnier than the back half. or maybe they just had more jokes cause they had to cram their whole set into 15-20 mins. Or maybe th two pitchers of margaritas and two Jameson's I had were just a bit more fresh for the first half haha. Yo, and to my surprise, Whitney Cummings fucking killed it. Again, I may have just been more drunk at the beginning of the show, but it went Moshe, Whitney, Demetri, Chris, intermission, Marc, Sarah, Jim, Louie. Chris Hardwick was the low point, but even he was pretty good.I think the back half was just way more low energy (esp. Maron) but the show as a whole was dope as fuck.
