Just go somewhere thousands of miles away by yourself
I'm considering going to Italy or Beijing by myself.. Just to get away from reality n all the bullshit
I dunno.. It's a high risk/high reward type of deal
I like experiencing different cultures but I'm also not the most adventurous person n I fear once I get there ima stay within a half mile radius of the hotel
But I do need to escape

I have considered it but I haven't been brave enough. I want to get on a bus or plane and go to Utah or Colorado. Responsibilities don't allow me to leave tomorrow but if I could, I would.

No other reasons. Spot on.
Occasionally I go and visit my dad
Then I stab him while under the
Influence of my moms drugs

Yes. I'd do it again.
You can do w/e you feel like the whole time, don't have to fit in with anyone else's schedule.
Stay in hostels so you meet people and just tag along with the group that's doing what you wanna do that day. I very rarely went to tourist attractions/activities by myself. Depends where you're going I guess but a lot of places have a big hostel culture. A lot of ppl travel by themselves (more Europeans/Aussies/British than Americans though, I've found). it's not a weird/unusual thing to do.
Do it.

Been to Rwanda to a town called Gisneyi (boarders with DRC goma) when Goma was at war with rebels.
Been to Tokyo by myself also
Best experiences of my life by far. You learn about yourself.

Or, a good compromise is to join a group tour like Gap Adventures or Contiki or something and just go by yourself. Then there's no question you'll meet people and get out and about doing stuff... Only downside is the chance that the other ppl on the tour are all twats. I did tht once and had about a 50/50 split, overall enjoyed very much.
Actually one other downside is that you can't stay longer in a place you might want to. There are some tour companies that have a hop on hop off kind of deal though. In Europe definitely, and south east Asia as well I think
