I've been working on a league where there is no more than 3 battles each week. 1 top-tier, 1 mid-tier, and 1 gimmick match (rebuttal, theme, topical, alias, tag, 4-way, etc.) They will be 10 line battles and each "ppv" event will be hyped like a site-wide event. I've ran the idea across a cpl of mods and might get a subforum in the BA.

I was in a Norwegian tourney ages ago where there were 2 rounds. First verse from each was like a regular battle, but only the second verse from both could feed off/rebuttle lines from the opponents first verse. It was kinda cool. 8 lines each verse so it ended up being 16 from both.
