yeah that was a great fight. stoolgate is now in session - should've been deducted a point but wouldn't have changed the mauling that ensued.

Fuck man. Poirier is no joke too. I was actually nervous about this fight and he put him down in 90 seconds.

I'd like McGregor against the Edgar-Swanson winner, or at the very least someone like Ricardo Lamas before he gets a title shot. Aldo has a more versatile striking game, but it would be a really entertaining fight no doubt. I see Aldo chopping him down from distance over the course of the fight and winning a decision in a relatively close fight where McGregor has some moments. He's en route to stardom though.

Soldier of God did nothing wrong, though. The UFC's own cut man put too much Vaseline on and they made them take some off, etc. Multiple people fucked up, and regardless, Kennedy held his gloves when he hurt him anyways, so if you really want to be fair here Romero should of been given time to recover there (up to 5 minutes).

Justice was served.

Cut man fucked up, but so did Romero and his corner. They were all aware of the time limit to get back up, and he remained seated with the stool in the ring. If you take the rules by the letter, the fight should have been called because he didn't answer the bell, or even make an effort to show that he could. At the very least, a point should have been deducted. Don't think it would have made a difference in the result, but I expect it the decision to get appealed.

any of you guys remember Arlovski/Rumble in wsof? a timekeeping error meant the first round went on much longer than it should have and Arlovski had his (albeit weak) jaw broken in that extra time, going onto lose a decision. the commission, anywhere, are fuckups, anyway. the appeal amounted to naught iirc.

imagine the uproar if the ref DQ'd Romero on his stool?

kennedy did also trap his gloves, not his hands, when hurting him at the end of the second. he's also a whiny cunt. all things considered: props to the corner for buying him time - justice is served. Yoel is doing God's work, people.

Cerrone and his counter knees looked fantastic once he woke up.

would have liked to have seen Irish in deeper waters but he did his thing.

happy to see Cruz back totally unlike himself. probably a fluke but good shit.

MM crushed that can.
