This is actually no troll, they think it's a patch of pneumonia, keeping him in until his blood pressure goes down.
Bags he had a heart attack, didn't die, don't believe every topical piece you read. I pool emotion from factual events, but it's very rare I write about my own family experiences.
Much love to God Of War and Whys Ways

I'll keep you and your family in my prayers, Lars.
Had the doctors suspected pneumonia prior to taking the x-ray -- or did they take an x-ray because of chest pain and see a dark spot?
If there diagnosis is correct he will be alright. If not i owe you a pint, fuck it if he pulls through I'll buy you both one

Yeah, the latter, he couldn't catch his breath and had a pain in his right arm (he thought that may have been due to him laying on it, but because of a heart attack prior, he decided to go in)
the x-ray revealed a shadow on his lung and his blood pressure was sky high, over 200 or something
he's still laid up now, hopefully released tonight
crazy week

Hope he's alright... they'll just pump a shitload of antibiotics in him & send him on his way.
I was in the hospital a couple weeks ago for something similar, except I had nodules all thru my lungs. Docs have no clue where it came from.
I'm good now tho.
He should be fine.

Wow, yea - exactly why I was curious, because normally they suspect pneumonia by listening to the lungs I believe, and do an x-ray thereafter.
The left arm is typically impacted by heart conditions for men, sometimes both arms (in women mostly I believe, for whatever reason), but the right arm pain alone is actually a good sign and hopefully it was just your dad laying on it wrong.
Did they call it "walking pneumonia", do you know?

Am I wrong in saying that this is a good thing that they found the shadow? In comparison to the shadow turning out to be something life threatening and attacking his father without them even knowing leaving it too late?
Good luck though, hopefully it is nothing serious.

lol namix having my typical response
(and yeah they usually listen for 'rails' in the lungs to diagnose pneumonia/walking pnuemonia)

horrible shit to have to hear
