Welcome to the official Netcees.org Black August II Topical Tournament.

The opening round of 16 competitors will have a short format, 32 line max, line limit and this will gradually increase as the rounds progress. Topics will be assigned to your individual battles, battlers will be tagged once threads are set, check-in’s will be required to avoid any tomfoolery and replacements will be on hand to fill in on short notice so DO NOT assume you’re being no showed. You WILL get an opponent. It’s go hard or go home.

So why the fuck do we have that female in the Black August II image?

Well, since Amen wanted the name of the tourney changed due to the word “Black” being offensive nowadays, we’ve instead opted to make his Mother-In-Law the posterchild for Black August II instead.

lmao it was a random bracket generator and seeding I used, it seemed the fairest method given the amount of predominantly text battlers we have involved in this one. anything to bridge the divide between the two formats is wholly welcomed by me as it means both scenes become more sustainable by utilising the pool of participants we have taking part
