nerd rap porn

boof 01-17-2020 01:00 PM

everyone knows if youre a white nerd, lyrically, em is the best there ever was, is and will be. anyone who thinks otherwise just doesnt subscribe to the sole hyper-technical (and depressingly narrow) definition of lyricism prevalent within the context of hip hop. like do you even rap god?

refreshing to see three white people before me not masturbate over em tbh. youre all a credit to your pan-ethnic race.

plot once lost a battle to deliciousgirl btw so he is subhuman and all opinions he will express therein are null and void.

lmao lost a battle to alcoholism and employment also IIRC

still interested to hear his opinion tho

Plot 01-17-2020 01:18 PM

Well I think Ems multies have nuances and are kinda meta,
as in they referenace themselves or previous lyrics Em has spit.
Also they seem perfect in a way when he spits them the way he does
Which noone else could which makes them also kinda meta..

~RustyGunZ~ 01-17-2020 01:18 PM

Window pain

sral 01-17-2020 01:23 PM

Em’s aged terribly too. What’s with that beard he been sporting? I barely recognised him

Say no to drugs, kids. SMH

uh-oh 01-17-2020 01:24 PM

ill eventually get around to listening to it but yea i dunno. he just doesn't make good music and i don't see the point in listening to it.

Zuo 01-17-2020 01:25 PM

Eminem sucks

Plot 01-17-2020 01:29 PM

Define ‘substance’

Answer 01-17-2020 02:47 PM

5/5 thread title
Post content could use work though

dull boy 01-17-2020 02:49 PM

Everyone likes to hate what’s popular. It’s been uncool to like Eminem since The Real Slim Shady. 8 Mile made it even worse. He’s one of the best rappers ever, but also the highest selling artists period since SSLP released. The volume of fans makes it easy to lump them all together, despite the diversity of those who like his music.

It’s corny to geek out over his lyricism. Even though most of the people here are writers who rhyme as a hobby. Oh the irony.

Adverse 01-17-2020 02:52 PM

He's been on a downward descent since Encore. But in his defense, you rap for 20+ years you've touched on about every subject at least once. I also think the world is too PC for the late 90s, early 2000s Eminem so he had no choice to adapt and lost so much of What made him Eminem to begin with.

Inno 01-17-2020 04:14 PM

Em is now a textcee who got a record deal.

This album tho is up to par with Kamikaze. I came into this album with the same bias most have of em these days. But if I’m being completely honest. This was a good album. Em did his thing

Victor. 01-17-2020 04:55 PM

Em has two good albums

Witty 01-17-2020 06:18 PM

I don't get the no substance part, he has moments like that but typically has plenty of songs with substance, but nerd rap porn is quite a good way of describing it. I'm in to the formation of rhymes, all of my favourite rappers are rappers who do clever things with words and rhyme in the most unique ways. That's why Eminem is one of my favourite rappers.

He definitely has it in him to make some very bad music, but the new album is very good...there are a few skippable tracks, but it's solid.

uh-oh 01-17-2020 06:50 PM

the production is terrible.

his pens probably never been better. its just draining to hear. i tried giving this album a thorough listen and just couldn't do it. looked up a tracklist of the producers too and its a who's who of "who?'s" and the alchemist collab might be the worst shit on it. wonder how involved he was.

but word there is no denying his skill but listening to his shitty overused double time flows and in and out delivery is fucking taxing. the black thought verse is ruined on a shitty synthy garbage beat thrown together by d12 alum mr. porter who's capable of bangers but its like em just wanted qtip and thoughts name attached to this more than caring if its a dope song.

the only thing i hate about eminem is every time he drops something someone says its dope and i know i have to listen to it to see if it is dope, and im left thinking wtf.

im left with the conclusion that eminem isn't for me. he's like an insanely talented classical guitarist. more technically proficient than the majority of guitarists, but i don't care about classical guitar enough to sit and enjoy an album of it.

Geno 01-17-2020 07:07 PM

Em da gawdddddd

I mean... Ya

Pac though>>>>>

Witty 01-17-2020 07:11 PM

Black Thought bodied that track tho.

Witty 01-17-2020 07:28 PM

Black Thought is the best rapper ever.

Fight me.

Witty 01-17-2020 07:30 PM

But again...I just want to remind everyone that Eminem said 'I ball out like Bushwick Bill'

Witty 01-17-2020 08:51 PM

When they ask me who's the best? Eminem
Who's my favourite? Black Thought
But who's the best? It's Eminem

Nobody out there is a better rapper.

You don't exist to me.

Amen 01-18-2020 08:59 AM

EM is dope. But I only ever enjoy 1, maybe 2 tracks off of his albums tops. Nothing more. I could never listen to an entire album of his because it gets redundant. He’s dope, tho.

Bodey 01-18-2020 02:12 PM

his pen game is definitely ridiculous, but I get what @uh-oh is saying. he even acknowledges and references that he's never gonna top what he's already done, but he definitely hasn't lost it. to be honest, I enjoyed the way he flowed on that Fat Joe track more than what he did on this album. he just sounded more relaxed on that song, like he wasn't even trying that hard and it still delivered smoothly. the dude loves what he does, and at the end of the day, it's a hobby for us all- writers that is.

What’s your top 5 albums released last year?

The expectations people place on shit these days is out of control. It’s a fucking hip hop record. He’s rhyming words? lol Stop the presses. Rapper rhymes words. No substance? How many times you listen to an album (you don’t like) before making this hot take? Once? Half a time? Whole world hungry to hear what someone else thinks about a rap album like Jesus came down and rewrote the Bible or something.

Nerd rap porn lol That shit bodey posted a thread about is nerd rap porn. If anything Em is lyricist porn, and it’s weird a site full of rhyme writers would be low on lyricism.

Tldr - read it ignore me

White LGI 01-19-2020 11:33 PM

Y'all retarded

This Eminem album has substance

Sinacog 01-20-2020 02:50 AM

His music is good, great even. It takes a lot of skill to weave those multi-syllabic rhymes around. His songs are very well done; very good in craft. His flow is really well done.

I think he's a really good rapper.

Did your 8th grade English teacher never say to not be repetitive?

MMLP 01-20-2020 09:08 AM

Lars cracks me up!

Mostly fire, few tracks I skip now.... replay value will run out soon I fear, as with kamikaze

20 tracks (few skits) was excessive

dull boy 01-20-2020 09:24 AM
