Dave had some stuff that has been done before. Ryan Dunn, Black Sabbath. Along with some bars that didn’t really hit for me like untenable, bank balance, and then the waiting in the wings was wasted. Could have been a fire closer but was worded super lazy, especially for a SC final.


Swerve-

Yikes, blue chip might be cool, I haven’t seen it but it’s probably been done against Blue numerous times.

Period punches is super played.

Vehicular suicide I haven’t seen, it’s alright I guess.

Dave Mustaine is cool

Pushing you off bridge is super played

Wet behind the ears, mail them in a box is sub par

Lynch rashford works, not great though

Closer was mailed in. Like you had 10 seconds on the shot clock and just threw it up.


This battle was underwhelming. Dave had the asterisk bar which was LOTB and probably the only real great bar. Some played stuff, and then a couple decent punches.

Swerve struggled hard here. I can tell you had the effort, it’s just the concepts you went with have been done to death. I think I’ve used 3 of them myself. Not your fault, you probably didn’t even know, which has happened to me in the past when I first came back. Nothing in the verse sticks out for me, just a couple cool bars.

Was looking forward to this battle but it seems both of you were a little off. The asterisk bar won’t get as much love from everyone else but it’s the type I love, and almost made this battle worth reading.

Not gonna lie, I don't really get the connection here. I know you're referencing the 1st and 2nd battle of the zuch trilogy, but on the other side of it is this like 1 year old vs. 2 year olds? Not really sure where the battle for the ages part ties in. I did a google search, and there's a movie called One & Two, but nothing I can find from the description really makes this bar work, and if this is a movie reference I feel like it's too obscure. 5/10

This is alright, I've use a similar star/asterisk concept in the past but my main issue with this bar is just the wording of it. Saying "you're a little star" just feels like a weak wording choice that sort of cheapens the sting of it. It could've landed a bit harder. 7/10

eh not really feeling this. It's a bit textbook and the wording kinda bugs me. The "david must stain the stage" part makes sense, but in reference to megadeth, the phrase "David Mustaine the stage" doesn't make grammatical sense. 6/10

Not really feeling the closer here, i dont mind the idea but the wording needed more. It also might just be a cultural thing, but as an american saying "limey family" just doesn't sound super insulting 6/10

I felt like the number one thing that gave Dave the edge here was fresher ideas. The period, bridge, and scope bars have all been done a lot and anytime you use an old concept there really needs to be a new spin on it that hasn't been done. Blue chip from swerve was cool. 2 strong lines a positive and real monsters from dave were dope. I also liked the wacky races bar

Overall for me this was a pretty disappointing final battle... Dave had his moments and some cool bars for sure, but was a bit hit or miss overall... Swerve had blue chip and Rashford that I liked but the rest was either just okay or terribly played

This verse had some terrible misses, and some of the set ups were lazy which is what took away from what sting the punch would have had. Set ups matter. The ones I did like were okay though the period shit was decent, that prowlers shit was fire and the penny stock joint was better than most the verse. Not a championship effort to me.

This verse was up and down, a couple creative concepts not worded well enough for me to quote but the creativity was there and setups were slightly better and more fluent. Line of the battle to me was the untenable shit that was funny and that real monsters line was hard, my type of talk. Lots of misses though but the misses weren't as cringe as Swerve's. Not a championship effort but overall I will say this is the better verse of the battle... so Vote:evaD or whatever
