"Broken Wings"
Drowning you in my tears,
and instead of swimming you get out and run away

Is the pool too deep for you?
Or is the water to cold for you to stay?

Hoping that the liquid will seep into your heart,
and you'll understand how I feel

I never realized that you were so tightly closed
with a non-permeable seal

What has to be done for you to realize
that my veins have run so very dry?

Will I have to wait to be famous after death?
And you'll see the inside after I die

Eyes are the windows to the soul,
and you're scared to look deeply into mine

Is the darkness too vast for you to see?
Or does the brightness never cease to shine?

I beg for you to come closer,
but you focus your attention on the exterior

I desire for you to be at my level,
but you only consider me as inferior

You do take one step in my direction
then you take flight into the air

And though I follow you in pain,
you continue to go faster as if you don't even care

Finally I'm close to catching up with you
but I fall; my wings are broken

It�s clear that I'll never reach you,
so I leave you with the sound of my voice as a token
