Verses are due SATURDAY 4/23 at 11:59 PST.
Extensions are due SUNDAY 4/24 at 11:59 PST.
(There is a 6 hour grace period following the end of the extension deadline. If you fail to post anything by the end of the grace period time, you will be given the no show loss.)

You must vote on at least 4 other battles and post links in the Voting Thread. For every absent vote, you will be deducted ONE vote next week.

Voting ends TUESDAY 4/26 at 11:59 PST. (Unless otherwise it may be extended another day at the most.)

You MUST check in.

If you no-show, you will be removed from next week and have to sign back into the league.

NOTE
Swaying, excessive freeposting, voter fraud etc. are grounds for vote deductions at discretion of the moderators.
Editing your verse after the grace period, after your opponent posts, or after the first vote (especially this)- as well as biting- are grounds for disqualification at discretion of the moderators.

The aides had left for the night, the wires had finally gone silent
George could finally breath, a reprieve, from the day most violent
He unfastened his tie, he took off his jacket, sat down, face painted a grin
He picked up the phone dialed 666 numbers in sequence, said: “let it begin”.
There was a button on the underside of his desk, a secret fire red sphere
He pushed it and the center of the oval opened, a stairway spiraling down did appear
W walked to it, and slowly descended, the hole above him closed, to hide his disappearance
Walked for six stories down into the earth, a secret basement filled with smoke and mirrors
There were thirteen hooded men with goat skull faces and eyes of scorn
There were candles amidst the pentagram and a lamb full shorn
These men slayed the lamb with a sword as W watched, stupid grin on his face
He then donned a red robe and took the other hood’s place.
He was given a dragon mask, and this one came complete with ivory horns
He was given a baby which now cries as it mourns….
George puts the baby on the altar and its’ eyes reflect the fear of seeing his red robe
He is handed a curved dagger, as laughter fills his head inside the tome
Above the altar is the Owl, brazen, bronze and gold in homogenous mixture
The thirteen behind all kneel and chant, synchronous, towards the fixture
George speaks….
“Dear mightiest force, the force of nature, of perversion
For your favor on this day of sacrifice, I now bring you a virgin
I plead its blood pour as a flood amidst the blessings you’re dispersing
As those towers toppled, let those lifes fuel the hate to bring about your person
