~Leave me a Place Underground~

Have you ever awoken? Seen life for whom she truthfully is?
Enjoyed a kiss where tears commingle with two bleeding lips?
Have you ever pleaded with Death, ”Grant me one wish”?
Sitting; sulking in fits; praying to be detoxed in a crypt.
Have you ever? I felt so alive next to death.
The last thing remembered, the aftermath screams had beget.
Saturday night, car swerving in the darkest of nights.
Lights whisking by, horns blaring my mind.
Whiskey briskly siphoning into a derelicts grind.
The carelessness shines,
A good soul hanging from his heritage pine.
A heretic sips from the holly grail with the unholiest swines.
A ghost in disguise, leading relics to crimes.
I once was revered, cherished and primed.
Set to be the next savior – placed ahead of the line.
And instead of following suit, I opted out of design.
And the fashion aligned was a moot, washed away with the ruse.
Now, if you can grant me an ear, I'll try not to preach in these tongues.
If the picture speaks, then the million words are the lashes I flung.
Each ash had begun, “It's a drink, I swear, It's just one”.
I hated kids, so babysitting wasn't the way to exist.
I didn't sip, instead, I chugged a grave to a ditch.
Sports were my gift, the tense is important as shit.
Because I was a god, a walking, breathing eclipse.
Towering hoards, devouring who dared to oppose.
The court, my abode, the crowd sang for every foe I'd expose.
Swish...The rim hated touching the rock.
Each shot faintly kissing the net,
The mesh, daintily hissing in jest.

“And with the first overall pick, Wizards select”....

I was tied to the future, her smile direct,
Shining on a superstar with the bling of respect.

Midnight: The night of

Have you ever awoken? Remorse can entomb
A family broken by the shots a baller consumed.
Flashing lights shape darkness, it's seemingly vibrant.
Wailing sirens break apart the deepest of silence.
I survived, but the mini van wasn't livened.
In fact, the moonlit sky was so brightened...
It's full circle was a storm perfectly heightened.
As the survivor, I'm frightened.
But I'm glad I'm 6 feet, just wish it were under the dirt.
Like that family
Please Death, save me...
